Everyone screamed for a rebuild... This is what they look like... It's ugly and it's painful but if it's done right, we'll look back to these games as a distant memory. I remember the years of 2006-2009 when the flames would roll over the blues and the kings the same way the blues are working the flames right now. That seems so long ago to the blues fans now.

On a separate note... Despite the score, Giordano has looked great tonight... I can't believe team canada went with hamhuis and Vlasic over him. Here's hoping hamhuis slips in a banana or something so gio can go to Sochi.

He had five points in six games and won a silver on a good team and then next year he had nine points on the best team Canada in history. Didnt exactly set the world on fire.

McDavid had four points in seven games on team where he was relied on to score as a 16 year old.

I would love for the Flames to draft McDavid, how great of a player he will be remains to be seen.

I wouldn't base the entire strategy of the franchise on "earning" a 25% chance to draft him
