Yeah I'd say you're perfectly fine on that one. What gets me is 10+ age gaps. 30 year olds dating legal teens is just off too me and makes me think about what's wrong with the older person that they can't find someone their own age (relatively). 40 year olds dating 20 year olds, they could be your child for Christ's sake. I know there are exceptions and love is love but still.

I dated a 24 year old when I was 19, but being a guy as the younger party, it's generally not as frowned upon. I also dated a girl who was 19 when I was 23. Met her parents and everything and they didn't seem to mind. As long as your being respectful of your partner I see no problem.

Yeah that can be a lottle odd to get past, but the thing I found the hardest dating a 19 year old was not her (generally you pick someone within your maturity range regardless of age), but her friends. Oh god I can only sit through so many conversations about how one girl is a bitch for not liking her instagram photo or this passive aggressive facebook status hurt their feelings. They realize that none of that is real, right?

And this leads me to my own GMG. A few people of my generation are like this but I notice it more with people who just a couple years younger than I. I've honestly had conversations with peopel (usually girls) that were 30 min rants about a bunch of passive aggressive Facebook pissing matches. This person liked this photo but not mine. This person posted this picture here. I haven't talked to this person in forever and they liked my photo, creep. Like shut the f** up! None of this matters. These aren't even real relationships with people. Do you even like this person? No? Then why do you give a flying fata about what they do.don't do on Facebook.

Facebook kind of got big in my last year of highschool so I feel like I'm from a bit of a couple-year-blip generation (polak you would be too) where we have the innate computer skills that older generations don't seem to have, but can combine it with a source of real-life skills that were learned pre-facebook/cellphones/Apps/etc... And now people just a few years younger than me don't seem to be able to express themselves face-to-face in real words, but are happy to spout all their feelings on a public space for all their friends to comment on. And I hate getting lumped in with these people.

The age problem is more about state of life at this point. If she is still in school at 19 and you have a full time job that can cause issues. If she is done school and has a job and you are at the same point in life then I don't see any issues. There is no gross factor with that age difference.

My girlfriend was 20 and I was 24 when we started dating.

One of my coworkers started dating his wife when she was 21 and he was 31. Haha.

How is that too big? It's 5 years? I guess it really does mean more when your younger but my S/O and I have a 5 yr gap as well.

One of my brothers buddies is 45 and just started dating a 23 yr old ex cheer leader.

And apparently it runs in their family. His dad is 63 dating a 30 year old.

I'm very proud of both of them.

One of my FWBs is 19. I'm 28.
Yeah I could not date a 19 year old.

At 24 there is almost no difference in age though.

New to the forums and thought I'd start off in this thread :

My wife and I are 2.5 years apart.

There's no difference.

I guess that contribution kinda sucks.

People driving around with mini glaciers on the roof of their car, how lazy can you be?

Depends. When it's -35 and I'm already running late and it snowed overnight so I didn't make any extra time for it... I can be very lazy.

-17-20 year old asian dudes that go in groups to mens clothing stores and get in your way then start posing for each other while talking in some kind of hood slang. Really effed up.

-When some mom directly in front of you in the checkout line (you're limited to a couple line choices) with a cart packed full of 3 months worth of food and supplies at the superstore/walmart just stands and looks at you holding 2-3 items in your arm that would literally take a 1/10 fraction of the time to go through, yet doesn't consider being kind enough to let you go by. Then goes on to forget her wallet in her car, asking to have her order held and her kids are running all around on the loose.
