Not truculent enough. Should have McGrattan in the lineup.

I get that some guys are going to be left off the team but IMO that one is a pretty big omission.

There is a compelling case for sure, we are dealing with the best players in the world. However, compared to his competition like Duchene, perry, Nash or sharp, who constantly drive the centre of the ice, Giroux is a perimeter guy.

Lol
There isn't a roster close to this and huge question marks on every countries roster.
Who are the teams guaranteed to beat Canada?

One thing with Thornton is he just isn't suited to the big ice.
He was not good on the big ice in 2006, and didn't have a great 2010 tournament either.
I can see leaving him off because he has been there and hasn't produced in the past.

Not going to read this whole thread as the debate will be endless and rather pointless, but I just wanted to throw my 2 cents into the mix.
The good (or pleasantly surprising): Benn, Duchene, Sharp
The bad: Kunitz, Rick f'ing Nash (He's no longer on the top PP in New York. Not exactly an offensive juggernaut team.)
The questionable: Hamhuis, Marleau
The guys that should have been there: Giroux, Lucic (in place of Nash, same type of player), Martin St. Louis

The funny thing is with all of the hand-wringing about Nash, is that it is highly likely that due to history\fit and familiarity which is emphasized in such a short tournament. We see a line of Nash\Toews\Sharp, given their skill sets that could end up being Babcock's go to\Jack of all trades line, much like Toews was in 2010.
With the obscene amount talent on this team, that would be kind of funny to see that.
Only disagreement from me is Kunitz, and would have loved to see Gio. Its been said already that Gio doesn't belong in the top six Canadian Dmen, but as far as left handed guys go, I don't know much about Vlasic, but I would definitely have him ahead of Hamhuis.

Maybe puckluck should put some pubes on the line if he thinks Canada has no chance at winning.

I'm not going to say you're stupid, because that would be mean, but this post is a bit s....illy.
Of course they have a chance to win gold. Likely the best chance of all countries.

I hope St. Louis and Giroux continue to tear it up over the next few weeks to show Team Canada what a mistake they made. It's still a great team but it could have been better.

As sweet as that would be, I think it would be sweeter if the Canucks missed the playoffs.
I don't want that team anywhere near the Stanley Cup.

Correct. Only 3 Canadian players have scored goals at a higher rate than Jeff Carter this decade, and they are all on the team as well:
Stamkos - .646
Crosby - .545
Perry - .500
Carter - .454
Neal - .444
Sharp - .443

I want the Bruins to beat the Canucks in the finals followed by Iginla wearing the Stanley Cup as a strap-on where he violates the entire city of Vancouver finishing by wiping the cup off on the fabric of BC Place.
