I mean, it's either him or Grandpa Bergeron.

Ummm Bergeron is 28 years old and one of the top centers in the world. He's a lock for the team and is certainly not vying for a spot with Taylor Hall.

Nice to see Duchene make it, electrifying player. As for the Iggy talk, he doesn't belong anywhere near the Olympics.

Back story: One of the Oilers' media shills (Staples?) argued on Twitter that Hall belongs on the team ahead of aging players like Bergeron.

Hall is a fantasy leagues dream, nothing more.

@PollakOnSharks: #SJSharks Logan Couture right now: "Just so you know, I didn't make the team." Then he ducked into the off-limits locker room.

I was joking with that part because an Oilers journalist called him "old".

But I do think Hall could potentially make it in the event Stamkos isn't healthy in time.

Injury related I bet, he's out 3 to 4 weeks after his surgery.

Interesting thought... I've been seeing Mike Richards' name thrown around the last couple of days. MacKinnon has the same number of points and I'd rather see him go for future experience then see Richards picked.

I hate seeing too many old guys (like Bergeron, frankly) on Team Canada. You need a few, but young, fast, audacious players are needed too.

I just hope Jamie Benn makes the team. He can play a bit more of a gritty role and still has tremendous skill.
