Why would you guys get confused. The thread title says Bruins sign Iginla, not re-sign (or in most cases resign).

Jarome's gonna hit 30 goals again this year.
Typically on pace for less early on, the goes full throttle December into January. Will even out at 30 or more. Will be awesome to see, as many had considered him less capable now due to his age.
Also neat to see a really strong +/-. Heard his line has been one of the strongest in hockey this season, beyond just production.

I follow Jarome on my Scoremobile app and he is having a great year! It really wouldn't add up to much here. Great to see the numbers.

Good to see the +18 for Iggy as well.

The benefits of playing on a strong team in a weak conference.
Would love to see him manage 30 goals again.

#2 on the team in goals. Has a strong chance to lead the Bruins with goals this year.

Forget 30 goals... I want him to get on one of his legendary hot streaks and make it to 40 goals.

I wonder if Eric Francis would still categorize him as a "coach killer"?

I wouldnt worry about an Iginla signing. The guy isnt signing anywhere until the off-season.

Well he leads the entire team in +/- so still a big accomplishment. And when you look at the stats for +/- after the top two lines they're pretty bad.

Yeah, I think when Keenan was fired. After Sutter/Playfair/Keenan it was brought up.
Either that or sometime during Sutter's unsuccessful reign. He banged that drum fairly hard and often.

The team didn't do what the coach wanted them too under his leadership...not sure why going to a stacked team and playing half decent changes anything that happened here in the last few years.

If anything, I'd argue that Keenan was an Iginla-killer...taking him off the PK went a long way toward changing Iggy's work ethic at the time, imo...

There are exclusions at the edges... but for the most part leadership by players at the pro levels are a wash. Iginla was regarded as a glorious leader when the Flames were good... then a coach killer when the Flames were bad. Yzerman went through the same thing just in reverse.
Fans love to declare good leaders on good teams and bad leaders on bad teams. They are just guys. These are all elite level athletes... have some scream or yell in the dressing room might work for a few shifts to start a game/period... but its not going to change the team's fortunes.

I was talking more about his play, took many nights off the last few years in calgary and I don't think his play this year proves anyone who was critical of him wrong.
not saying he was never a bad leader but things in Calgary were obviously getting stale. They were a great team at times but the consistent effort just wasn't there and it started with Iggy.
my opinion

He said it on NHL Radio just a couple of weeks ago while talking to Kelly Hrudey. Hrudey didn't debate him on it either. I know some people don't like Francis but it was a jarring statement to hear even from him.
