Bergeron doesn't have what it takes to win. Hasn't won a thing in his career (aside from the cup, gold medal, Selke, world juniors, World's, Spengler Cup). Why take him when a Memorial Cup champion is waiting in the wings?

You know, I think half the teams in the NHL would trade their rosters for the Oilers' roster straight-up.

Ducks score with under a second left in OT.
Well deserved loss with a lazy play by a Sedin.

Looks like it will go to a shoot out.

Suck it John Garret.

Loved how they showed Bieska in the penalty box after the Ducks scored.

A terrific overtime in the Sharks-Blackhawks game and the Sharks win it in the shootout.

The 'Hawks lose in the skills competition...Crawford, just coming off a groin injury, really didn't seem to get much of a lateral push off in the shootout...I don't think he really wanted to test it, at that point.
Minor complaint about the officiating in the game, and Hwy...as I know you watched, you can dispute this...but, I HATE when refs change the rules by non-enforcement in the 3rd and OT...and I thought that the 'Hawks should have gotten at least two PPs in the 3rd, a holding the stick when Versteeg was driving the net....and the guy that launched at Sharp's chin should have been tagged for the high hit on that zone entry play. As it was, I felt the refs blew the only penalty that they DID call all game...they missed a clear checking from behind, but tagged Bollig for roughing when he stepped up to defend his teammate, which wouldn't have been necessary, if they HAD made the call.
It is also interesting that Q benched Bickell...the guy has, IMO, been terrible his entire 'Hawk career, EXCEPT for last year's playoffs. He reminds me of Rene Bourque, a floater, that has no consistency of effort in his game.

I'm just cheering for the Flames to score a goal. Wins seem so unrealistic right now.

I think Hall deserves consideration for team Canada. I don't like the Oilers but if there is one prospect from their team I'd want on the Flames it would be him.

Second period on, Anahiem outshot Vancouver 44-8.

lol me either but I could see us going after him. I absolutely LOVE Sharp (from home town of Thunder Bay and good friends with my wife's cousin) and I remember how a few years ago I suggested we go after him at the expense of Langkow and was told by just about everyone that Sharp would be lucky if he turned into a Langkow kind of player.... Man he'd look good on the Flames....

What sport would you say Hall should be considered for on team Canada because he sure as heck isn't good enough for their hockey team

I think if Nash is being discussed for a spot on the team this year it's fair enough to put Hall in the conversation as well.

I don't think Nash should go either but there is a lot more to support Nash going over Hall. But I guess you could argue that there are about 200 players that should have been in the conversation about the olympics, they'd just be really short conversations
