CBC probably should have blurred Carter's plate in the shot of his car.

It's easy to mistake swagger and punchdrunk.

Pointing out facts isn't "Swagger".

Using words like "Accept it" is.

I hope you're back talking about how good the Leafs are when they're out of the playoffs

They're in the playoffs right now. I will be surprised if they miss.

I wouldn't. Toronto only holds a playoff spot now because of ungodly goaltending in the first couple weeks of the season. As a team, they were never better than the other pretenders, and now that the goalies have come back to earth, they are trending the wrong way while other teams are catching up fast.

I would not be surprised if Toronto is on the outside looking in come the Olympic break, and they will be in tough to get back in.

But that is neither here nor there when it comes to the fact that CBC becomes the TBC on Hockey Night in Canada. There was never the slightest chance that CBC would switch away from that game. And yes, because of viewership and advertising. There are not many reasons to be thrilled by Rogers taking over next year, but their seeming desire to split these games to be available on multiple channels is definitely one.

I'd argue they've had THE best goaltending in the NHL all year and not just the first couple of weeks. No NHL goalies have had the workload Bernier/Reimer has. They've faced so many shots, both would be on pace to break the NHL record for most shots faced in a season if they played 65+ games in a season.

People can go on about Josh Harding because he doesn't play in a hated city. The fact is, he isn't facing the same workload and difficulty the Leafs duo is.

And yes, without the goaltending, they are out of the playoffs right now. But the fact is, there were years when the Leafs only missed the playoffs due to bad goaltending. (Like Raycroft posting a terrible .894 save% on a good Toronto team).
