Think the effort in the strong start spoiled us.

This is a bad team and now that the other teams are in mid-season form it is showing.

We don't have the talent, size, speed, or skill to compete with the better teams in the league and it is simple as that. Plus now that the team has no confidence those problems are magnified. We will have the odd game where a strong effort will catch a team off guard.

Just have to look forward to the trade deadline and hope that the infusion of youth makes things more bearable. Look at this Tampa roster and what the strong youth has provided for them this year even though the majority of hockey fans can't name half their roster.

Interesting stat on the Tampa Bay broadcast. The Flames are third in the league in points from rookies with 39. Tampa Bay is first with 88.

I just have no idea what to say. This is worse than the Young Guns. There is no life in this team outside of small blips that would never fool a trained Physician into keeping life support on. The Vets are seemingly coasting or doing all the wrong things, which of course is stunting the progress of the young talent. Thank god for Ramo, because he's been the only shining light tonight. I hate to be this guy all the time but Double You, Tee, Eff Mate?? What kind of garbage officials are running this circus tonight? In no way am I blaming them for the Flames woes (well maybe on that second Cammi penalty which led to the goal just after) because if you don't shoot and crash the net, well you don't score. But come on, get it together here. Call it clean, call it consistently, and FFS call it correctly!!!

This is way worse than Sutter. But I can handle it. Would you rather support a mediocre core made up of old players trying to win now or a rebuilding team that you don't have to be stressed about because loses are expected.

Next week's going to suck pretty bad regardless.

Avalanche, Coyotes, Blues and to cap off a miserable week.....we play Sid and the Penguins while wearing our cursed 3rds.

Because he wasn't playing as good then, and his play has really improved since that experience.

I don't agree. We thought the Sutter team would be better and it was painful to watch. This team, well, we knew what we were getting and expected this. We were just fooled by the way this team started...now, it is what it is and painful, but I wasn't expecting more like I was with Sutter and what that team was "supposed" to be.

It is actually in fathomable to me that as bad as this team is, and as bad as we look, that the Oilers and Sabres (and until recently the Islanders) have been worse.

That is mind-bottling.

Burke won't hesitate to jettison these guys post haste. soon to be 1 goal in twelve periods? Some guys shouldn't be here tomorrow.

Just be glad this game isn't more lopsided. Tampa's hit 2 or 3 posts.

Absolutely I'm at the game and I'm wracking my brain for a place that's close to the dome that'll have it on and not this garbage. Hartley shouldn't get fired we're not the freaking Cleveland Browns here.

The beginning of the season was everyone playing to their maximum capability on the flames against the other teams were just getting warmed up. Granted it was entertaining.

Cool stat @DarrenHaynes_CP: Flames have two regulation time wins in their last 29 games. If this was prior to 1982 when OT instituted, they'd be 2-16-11 over that span.

Not possible really. We have Monahan, Brodie, Gio plus a lot more actual prospects than back then. The future is much, much, much brighter than the Young Guns era.

Don't try and judge our future on our present.
