You know it's funny, I'm not superstitious, don't believe in luck, not religious, etc.
That being said I do believe that most people are affected by what they perceive to be luck and it becomes a self fulfilling prophecy. An example would be in poker, if people think they are "running hot" they will play much worse because they feel that they are going to get lucky, if they think they are "running bad" they will tighten up and stop playing optimally, it's human nature.
Take those jerseys and burn them.

7 periods with no goals and Berra even though been playing well lately is still looking for his first regulation time win. Of course they are still trying to win when they are wearing their new 3rd jersey.
Are we going to see fireworks at the Dome soon? I can see either McGrattan or Westgarth start something to wake up their team.

Remember when this team was fun to watch? What happened? I'm not just talking about scoring...just fun to watch. Now it's like watching paint dry when we're hoping for f'n Jones to actually score a goal. Just isn't the same anymore. I miss the first bit of the season. Even if the Flames lost, it was still entertaining. Now it's just brutal.

What if it was Feaster... and Now it's Burke.. and that's the problem? What if the guy we hated for not having enough inside hockey IQ was actually building a fun team to watch that would be able to compete for a cup in a few years, and now... we are on the fast track to being tough to play against... but also tough to watch.
Not saying I agree with it. Just "what if"

Agreed. Moss isn't the greatest skater but he's a much better hockey player than David Jones. You can see why the Avalanche were willing to accept Tanguay's contract if it meant ridding themselves of Jones.

Brian Burke isn't coaching the team and feaster didn't coach them either. Burke has made 2 moves so far since he took over two minor moves. This is a lack of talent finally catching up.

Because the Flames are not good and their slumping. Hard work and heart can only take a team so far. Also hard when you only have maybe 3 legit top-6 forwards. Not enough skill on this team, plain and simple.

seems to me that with the playoffs not being part of the picture the vets have completely lost their motivation and drive. Most of the impact we've seen for the past few games has been from the grinders taking low % shots.

Pretty much everyone picked up steam. We were beating teams on energy and jam alone. Once teams caught the game plan, they were able to outrun and outgun the Flames.
Like it or not, the Flames haven't changed much over the last 3 months, but better teams have stopped them from truly playing "their" game.
