Very cool, amazing that 182 didn't loose it's prop after seeing the damage on it's nose area.

The pilots, hard to tell who flew into who but they should have had a plan should they lose visual separation to avoid exactly what happened.

Of course they were obviously both busy in that jump environment, but it is always always always "Aviate, Navigate, Communicate".

I heard that it was an air traffic controller.

Apparently he had just got back to work after grieving the death of his drug overdosed daughter. Rumors suggest he had come back to work way too soon.

Technically it would be the guy who came down on top of the other plane. With his position high and behind the other plane he was the only pilot who could see the other plane and he should have been maintaining a safe distance. That said the pilot who had no visual should have been communicating that and trying to safely establish visual. Just a bad situation, I doubt either pilot is pointing fingers.
