I said "this close" to being unanimous, as in Flames fans are never even close to being unanimous on topics, but this was about as close as you'll see.
An overwhelming majority of fans hate them, and a few sales because they're new doesn't change that. You see them around a bit, but for the first truly new jersey this team has put out since '06 (or whenever the current home/away's came out) the response is clearly a resounding failure.
The way fans eat up merchandise in this city, you'd see them flying off the shelves if they were even semi-decent. That isn't the case. They're terrible.

I wonder if players do have a slightly harder time recognizing their teammates when they're wearing the 3rds. I know a Pittsburgh fans have complained about theirs being cursed in the past, so it would be interesting to see if teams actually play slightly worse when not wearing their normal jerseys.

I don't know but if you walk into any of the fan attic stores they sure are trying to push the sales. Most of the jerseys on display are the new 3rd. Even the t-shirts you can buy with the logo on the front and a players name and number on the back are of the 3rd jerseys. It feels like they are trying hard to push them. I'm afraid they are going to phase out the primary jerseys with these.

I actually saw quite a few people wearing them, myself included. Personally I really like the new jersey's. I wouldn't be opposed to a white version coming out. It's time for a change. Yes the retros are awesome, but let's leave them in the past and keep them awesome instead of ruining them like Edmonton has done.

In my opinion, they are an absolute atrocity, and coinflipping with the Isles' third for worst jersey in the league.
It really is an embarrassment. I find it awkward watching the game when they wear them. It's like seeing the girl/woman you love wear a hideous outfit to a party.

Buffalo's third is the undisputed first for worst. imo.

Agreed. Buffalo's are really bad. The fact that from behind and front they are primarily different colours is ridiculous.
I don't see anything as egregious on the Flames alternates but sure do not like the losing streak , that is for sure.

I love them and you all have no taste for not liking them. I got my Monahan 3rd for Christmas and apparently the only place in the city that had them was the Airport FanAttic when my sister went looking for it, so I'm not alone.
Shoulder patch: good. Colours: good. Wordmarks: Almost always better than logos (See Rangers, New York; and Avalanche, Colorado), Striping: Solid. Western elements: A little cheesy, but hey we're talking about a sports jersey here.

My issue with them is the black shoulder. Not because of the design, it's just that I don't like the shoulder being all black. It throws it all off for me. Everything else is fine. I did the shoulder logo.
