There are nights when he doesn't score?

Burke says we need to surround Johnny Gaudreau with beef, I agree.

“My parents were wondering about different things and trying to figure out who Mr. Burke was, since we were close to Jay Feaster and he was pretty good to me out in Calgary when I came to prospect camps,” Gaudreau said. “So I guess they watched the press conference and all that and said that they were nervous about how he’s so worried about big guys.

“But my dad thought it was pretty funny. It should be a good thing for the Flames.”

I'm starting to think Arnold stands a good chance to make the Flames one day, not just because Johnny's his meal ticket. It's said he's underrated, and he's obviously in the shadow of Gaudreau (somehow) at BC. He's having a good year too this year and I would love both these guys to make the team one day.

Default John Frickin Gaudreau!

Johnny assists on BC's second goal to set his career high 13 game point streak. They are up 2-1 in the first.

Johnny Hockey with a goal and an assist tonight. Pushes his totals to 15 goals and 18 assists in 18 games. The impressive thing is that only 3 of his goals have come on the PP.

BC wins the Three Rivers Classic tournament in Pittsburgh. Guess who was the tournament MVP?

I have listened and watched a lot of BC this year and Johnny doesn't seem to get time on the top PP unit which I find a little strange.

Coach's decision. I think the whole senior aspect in college sports comes into play. The only time I've seem Gaudreau on the PP is when the team really needs a goal. Then he gets leaned on. He really is in a league by himself and, as mentioned, almost shuts it down some games.

To contrast Gaudreau and Greg Carey, the leading scorer in college hockey, here is the promo vid for Carey for Hobey.

Count how many of Carey's highlights come on the PP versus even strength. Reminds me of the Robbie Schremp hype.

This season, half of Carey's points (18 of 36) have come on the power play. Only 4 of Gaudreau's 33 points were on the PP. He hasn't had a PP point since November 10. He also has a shorthanded goal this year.

Some nice stats digging from Ryan Pike:

They don't want him to score all the goals.
