I met an adult woman named Arwen. Her hippie parents must have been into Tolkien in the 60s.

If I had a daughter I wanted to call her Sorsha.

"Consider for a moment any beauty in the name Ralph."
-- Frank Zappa, on being asked by Joan Rivers why he gave his children such odd names

People make a lot of fuss about my kids having such supposedly 'strange names' "But the fact is that no matter what first names I might have given
them, it is the last name that is going to get them in trouble."

Saoirse (pronounced sear-sha) is Irish for "freedom" and is a very common name there.

Is Anita Dyck still an agent at Dyck Insurance? She used to have a bus bench ad on Crowchild south of 17th, and it always cracked me up.

Also knew of a family around here that named their girl Sunshine and their boy Smeagol.

It's actually kind of cool. You can refer to him as the Wee Baby Seamus.
