You know, someone pointed it out last game, and now I realize their biggest weakness compared to other broadcasting teams; They make very little effort to break down plays after the fact. It's like they just don't see it as part of their job.
Perfect example was the guy who highlighted the difference between the blues team and Flames team. The Blues guys put so much effort to find out which sticks hit the puck to what areas and which players did what to create the Flames game tying goal to send it to OT.
Then you go back and watch the Flames broadcast and their analysis basically boiled down to "puck bounced around, eventually came to the guy and he scored".
Again tonight with the Flames disallowed goal. Did you guys hear much attempt from Kerr and Simmer to figure anything out or come to their own conclusion? Nope, it was literally just "ref blew it down, look like they think it's a good goal. Gonna go upstairs, probably still a goal.
Meanwhile they showed the replay like 7 times with almost zero input from Simmer and Kerr. So annoying.
