Yeah, even frickin' David Hale scored a goal against the Flames after he left Calgary, and he literally never scored against anyone.

What a bunch of maroons.

Sad that I am out of town for this one. On that note, anyone know any Flames friendly pubs in Victoria? With Vancouver not playing it should be a bit better I hope.

They're probably worried he would throw his Oiler jersey on the ice and skate over and try to sit in our bench.

Before you know it, half their team follows him over.

I predict McGrattan will pound the tar out of Ference. Eakins will then give Gazdic a tap on the shoulder and motion towards McGrattan, Gadzic will pee his pants.

Kinda surprised Breen is back in considering they hardly ever put him on the ice when he dresses... but I guess don't mess with success.

I agree that someone needs to have a fist chat with Ference, however it shouldn't be McGrattan. Maybe SOB or Gio. Gazdic has fought McGrattan already so I see it happening again, Gazdic is pretty tough himself.

I'm sure Bouma will be finishing his checks on Ference all game. Wouldn't be surprised to see the two of them drop their gloves at some point.

I expect the Oilers will come into this game over-confident and having partaken of a bit too much Christmas cheer. And, as usual, the Oilers will be out-coached.

Flames win 3-2 in OT.

Thank goodness Horak isn't playing! We almost had to go against a forward that plays some defense. Phew!

@JasonGregor I don't discount how our team works. I like the way our team works. I think our team is as hard working as Calgary." Eakins.

That's a bit of a stretch. Even for the usual pre-game, team-boosting sound bytes you get from coaches.

Anyways not worried all about Monahan. You knew there'd be stretches like this for him this season if he stayed up.

Also no idea what Francis is talking about. Bouma might need to learn to settle down a bit here and there (ie: two costly high sticking penalties a few games back). But the guy has deservedly found a regular role on the team and PK. Solid 4th liner IMO.
