I find boxing day to be worse and worse each year. This year was a total waste of time imo.

The incredible deal concept is a year round thing now. Some of the best deals I get, are always some random lightning deal on a Tuesday in the middle of the month on Amazon. There isn't enough money to be saved to waste a day standing in line, chewing on some eastern Europeans BO, so I can save $200 bucks on a set of speakers.

For my photographer friends:
Vistek has the Spypder4Pro colorimeter for $120. I doubt it'll be this low again until Black Friday 2014.

FYI (not fully related to your post) anyone who is a flood victim can get 15% off at EQ3 or Crate & Barrel. Just in case you are out of town and can't make it for this.
We ordered a EQ3 couch for the basement and asked them to hold off delivery till Feb when renos are done. They were great for that.
Just thought I'd share that tidbit for the few of us out there (or have friends impacted)

If anyone is in the market for any NHL, Stamps, Hitmen, or Heat jersey's, Fanattic has an online sale 35% off everything. Includes Team Canada 2014 olympic jersey's. Goes until the end of the month
Even less than most end of season sales

Finally bought myself a jersey after wearing my black Conroy from 2003 for ten years!

I actually like the way Boxing Day is trending towards. Rather than the killer deal bait and switch style of the past, I found the past couple of years to be good to great deals on decently stocked inventory. I no longer have to wait in line 2 hours before opening to take advantage of Boxing Day. I can stroll into a Futureshop or Best Buy in the afternoon, and still get a pretty good deal.

Managed to pick up everything I was looking for. $30 for ps+ and then $15 3DS games at target. Quite the lineup for the iPads I noticed.
Was a solid Boxing Day for me.

I had a pretty successful day. Picked up a 50" Samsung LED Smart TV and a bedroom set from the Brick for a smoking deal. All in all I'd say my savings were around $700 total. Boxing day isn't always completely useless

Picked up a 55" Samsung LED Smart TV from Costco for just under a $1000. Missed out on a 60" LG LED Smart TV for the same price as they ran out of stock. Couldn't believe the amount of TV's that were going out of that place.

Yep, the amount of great deals on TV's is insane. That's why I can never believe when people buy TV's not during black Friday/boxing week.

Neither TV had the usual yellow colour covering the price when it's on sale. I suspect the 2 TV's were priced that way for boxing day. I watch the price of TV's in Costco all the time and that is the first time i've seen a 55" or 60" LED TV for under a grand.

I got the 50" from costco for $689. Smoking deal and they had the 55" 3d tv for $798 I believe.
I'm kind of regretting not getting the 60" LG and might go exchange for one tomorrow if they have any in stock.
