That game made up for what had been a pretty terrible day. Fighting off a nasty sinus infection, walking pneumonia, migraine, having to change the van tire in the wet/mud, having the microwave crap out and accidentally throwing away most of the kids Christmas presents...

Thanks Flames!

That sucks, but if leaving early brings the team good luck! You may want to reconsider

Originally I thought that too, but after I watched it a few times and tried to consider the options players have at that speed I think it was more incidental. Trust me, I'd like to blame it on Backes, but I think Stajan is just as much responsible. It really looked like incidental contact more than an intentional play.

Boy I sure hope that Backlund has turned the corner for good, because he is an absolute BEAST lately.

Still needs improving on face offs, but what a stretch he's on.

One burning question for me... Why was Hudler wearing retro socks?
Its like he is teasing me.... giving me hope that those beautiful jerseys will be coming back.

On this note.. Backlund clearly deserves the secondary assist on the game tying goal tonight (not Cammalleri) and should they change it now has 9 points in his last 12 games (with a +7 rating). In addition to that during games in which he has received over 14 minutes of icetime this season he has recorded 15 points in 24 games.

Both our tenders have gotten their save percentages out of the 800s! 904 for Ramo and 900 for Berra isn't all-star material... but they've both gone way up of late.

Flames beat St. Louis 4-3 in come from behind effort!

Oilers: "I don't believe it"

Flames: "That... Is why you fail"

good for morale to win before the holidays, flames are scraping the bottom this year but let's hope unlike the stain we never foster a losing culture.

Merry Christmas CP!

Yeah... Cammalleri made a great play on the draw... but Backlund gets a shot off and the rebound goes to Hudler.
