This is just my observation and not a shot at smith.
Jones and Byron were huge reasons the PP was clicking so well. Seemed like Jones on the one timer was money for a long time there.

I think Ferland brings a lot of spark too, he's been missed on this road trip.

The Heat are playing right now if you guys are interested, 0-0 after the first in Hamilton.

It's a lot of different things, but hearing Troy Ward, he's not surprised, it happens to this squad at this time every year. He said its a couple of things, he said it's roster consistency, the tough travel schedule of the Heat, and just the fact that the league gets a lot stronger in the second half of the year.

There are a lot of challenges to sort out, certainly roster flux is the biggest in my mind.

The announcer on the hamilton feed described it as a "dog-faced gremlin" looking goal. haha. an ugly dump in from just past the blueline.

Brian Burke is at the Hamilton game. He's being interviewed on the Hamilton feed.

Hanowski ties it at 2. Listening to the game it didn't seem the Heat had much possession during the third period before the goal.

Granlund-Olson-Baertschi line with all kinds of pressure late, Granlund hits crossbar. No goal though.

Still 2-2, about a minute left.

Ortio with lots of great saves this period too.

Tokarski just robs Baertschi twice after a beauty feed from Granlund.

Dammit!

At least those two seem to be developing chemistry.

Heat PP, 24 seconds left.

This would be a great time for their PP to come back to life.

Heat starting to get some chances on goal this time. Tokarski coming up big with a couple big saves including 2 on Sven. Heat heading to a late PP.

You watching? Baertschi's best two chances. He hit a post last game too.

Hanowski whiffed on a wide open net to end the game.

Going to OT, Heat get a point at least.

Pointless streak ends at 3 games.

Eriksson did last game as well.

Tokarski looked more lucky than good in the late stages of the game, lots of play without the stick and on his back.

Such a different team after Hanowski's goal. Sounds like Tokarski was the only Hamilton player on the ice for OT as the Heat seemed to dominate it.
