Apparently Eakins has told Gagner, Yakupov and Justin Schultz they won't get any PP time until they improve their 5 on 5 play.

If every team ahead of them in the West played just .500 hockey through the end of the season (and the Flames are the only other team in the West currently below .500), the Oilers would still have to win 20 games in a row to get into a playoff spot.
If all the teams in the West continue their current pace, they would need 104 points to make the playoffs. To get to 104 points, they would need to go 39-5-1 (that includes tonight's game). They would need to go 33-11-1 to make the playoffs if the teams they are chasing go .500.

No, no he wasn't. He was better than most gave him credit for, but Bouwmeester never came close to earning his contract here. He was above average, but nowhere close to great.

It's the best part of watching Oiler home games. The only thing that makes it better is when it's coupled with Kevin Quinn's suicidal play-by-play calls.
