of course they would. He's a Super Bowl winning QB.
There are only 7 active Super Bowl winning QBs right now.
Brady, Peyton, Eli, Ben, Rodgers, Brees and Flacco

Cutler is going to get the Flacco/Romo deal even if Chicago missed the playoffs.
If not from them, from someone else! So don't worry you'll have a 17-19 mil QB or a 35 year old having a career year next season!

From Tom Pelissero's twitter (NFL reporter for USA Today):
Quote:
Browner also can file an "other" appeal to commissioner, basically challenging the process. If not, odds are 2015 is earliest we'll see him.

If Browner doesn't get reinstated I believe he'll sue the NFL as well. Makes for an interesting legal argument, although I hope his second appeal is successful.
Either way, he's likely played his last game with the Legion of Boom.

I have no sympathy for him. If he hadn't gotten busted for PEDs twice, then he wouldn't have found himself in this mess.

The Browner thing will really only impact the depth for the Seahawks secondary. As the article states, his replacement Byron Maxwell is playing as well or better than Browner. But should him or Sherman get injured...who's next on the depth chart.
Either way Seattle would have moved on from Browner after this year no suspension or not. They have enough other players coming in to bump Browner rather than give him a UFA corner contract which most of the time fail terrilbly.

Good article by Mike Silver with a bunch of great 49ers reminiscing about Candlestick.
Quote:
Lott: I was passionate about the fact that (Niners nose tackle and former Giants All-Pro) Jim Burt had come up to me in pregame warm-ups and said, "Hey man -- Phil Simms said you're washed up." I said, "What?" Jim said, "Yeah, not only that, but he says you can't run ... you can't do it anymore." I think it was that, and just the emotion of the fact that we stopped 'em at the end. Every ounce of what you do to win showed up, in a way where you wanted to let it out of every ounce of your body. If there was ever a moment where you felt like Mike Tyson ... I felt like Mike Tyson. I let all the rage and anger out and had a verbal assault. Phil realized what was going on and started coming back at me. I will say this, though: Who walked into our locker room later and sought me out and said, "Hey, man -- I don't know what happened out there, but I'm sorry it got to that point"? It was Phil -- he came in and checked on me and showed the class he demonstrates today on television. That was just two gladiators who had battled for a lot of years

4 inches of snow scheduled for Pittsburgh Sunday. Even if Rodgers played it would be a heavy Eddie Lacy day. And considering Mike Tomlin slighted him this week, and how pissed off Lacy runs to begin with, the Packers might just be fine. And as I said before if they sneak in they're going to win the Super Bowl.

Packers aren't going anywhere with that porous defense, unless Rodgers carries the whole team on their back.

Well yeah, he's been doing it for several years now. He even took them to 15-1 with that terrible defense. Its why he should be in the MVP conversation every year, without him they're one of the worst teams in the league, and with him they can win it all. He's what Peyton Manning used to be to the Colts (see: 2011 Colts season)

Green Bay could be a potentially dangerous playoff team, but I will have a very tough time betting against Seattle if they have home field advantage. Americans seem to get all out of sorts when they have to go North West.

Game is in Green Bay, but yes they are looking at a heavy snowfall during the day.
I dont think even with Rodgers that the Pack had a hope of winning it all this year...Seattle is a team i dont think they could beat right now and they would have trouble with both SF and NO as well.
I do hope they win the division of course just so the Bears dont...but i doubt that happens now. Should be a heck of a snow game tomorrow though.

Nervous for this Saints/Panthers game today. Wind/rain in the forecast in Charlotte; conditions favourable to the Panthers style of play. I just don't have a lot of confidence in this team on the road right now, especially with the division on the line.
...that said, if they can wrap up the South in Carolina today, it'd be a huge shot of confidence for them, and help crush that stigma. My official prediction is that I'll be in a glass case of emotion for 3hrs.

I'm with you on this one. This Saints team just doesn't inspire any confidence on the road. That being said hopefully Brees can shake the road woes

Some pretty suspect penalties being called in Texas.
Injuries also piling up. Just win and get out of there Denver.

Typical Dolphins, get themselves into a great position to make the playoffs and come out and have laid an egg in Buffalo.

Obvious pass interference on Graham there, no call. Saints settle for 3.
