Ford apologizes to Daniel Dale, admits that he never saw him peering into backyard or taking pictures (of children or otherwise). My guess is Dale drops the libel suit now. But wow, two apologies in one day!

Are you serious? That was one of the worst weaselly non-apologies I've ever heard.

Quote:
“I did not mean to insinuate anything about Mr. Dale personally in my interview with Mr. Black. I certainly did not intend to suggest that he is a pedophile,” Ford told city council Tuesday reading from a prepared statement.
That bolded portion of Ford's "apology" is a huge load of BS. Everyone, including Ford himself, knows exactly what he was insinuating when he made those comments.

For the record, here is what Ford said in the infamous interview:

Quote:
I have little kids. When a guy’s taking pictures of little kids, I don’t want to say the word, but you start thinking, you know, what’s this guy all about?

He needs to stop apologizing. He clearly never means any of it because within hours he's back to doing the same crap. He needs to take action and by that, I mean he needs to get his #### together, he needs to step down and he needs to stop doing all this dumb crap that's landed him where he is today. He says sorry and qualifies every apology so they aren't even really apologies - there's no sincerity; he takes no actual responsibility for his BS. He needs to be a real man and step up and take responsibility for his #### without all of the qualifying.

Good. I heard the "apology" on the radio this morning and I literally LOL'ed at how bad it was.

It was pretty much this:

That "apology" pretty much confirms that it was in fact what he meant to say.

Sounds like these singers had a lot of council dancing today, but still amusing to see it all unfold in chambers, including the mayor.

The council musical interlude was modelled after a similar initiative at the Austin, Texas, city council where artists perform music to promote the local industry.

You're making something out of nothing...

I read on CTV that "city council breaks out into reggae dance."

Im curious- what does it mean to dance black? Interestingly enough, the black guy I see in the video is just hopping around like a rabbit. Is he trying to dance white?

He looks like he's trying to shake a dingleberry off. He should have done the Carlton. It would have been awesome, LOL!

Ford finally came out with a legitimate apology, which Dale accepted:
