No, I really just wanted to post that Dallas bottle fight vid. Plenty going on in the background but a dude takes up a lot of camera time complaining about his arm while there were two dudes getting hit in the head. It's pretty funny.

Trash Vancouver if you see fit, I don't care.

Holy sh@t. How long has he been Jason Bourne? Or is he a T-800?

I don't think you know what you are talking about. You arguments are against someone that basically said that although Lucic is a hockey player, it does not mean on the street he is the toughest guy on the planet. A random nobody can be pretty dangerous, in particular if you have no idea if he trains or not. 90% of martial arts, in my opinion, do not help anyone, mainly because most people do not train to advanced levels and they do not spar enough. Lucic most likely would not get a 1 on 1 fight on the street.

Lucic does not fight regularly, even though he has several dozen hockey fights. Fighting regularly means going to train and sparring, over and over again. For years.

Tough to say. Everyone's face reacts differently. I barely bruise, but I have had slight shots that left a massive black eye. Again, I don't think you know what you are talking about.

Sounds like bullshido to me. Rolling with punches etc are all learned. Force = mass * velocity. Minimize force by rolling with a punch versus going into it. No one wants to roll with a punch, you want to not get hit at all. I am not sure about anyone being unbeatable, you must be kidding?

This is actually opposite to the truth. Go ask Parros how he is doing with the accumulated damage his brain has taken.

Then you add on to the fact that the odds of getting the range perfect to land a %100 power shot is so small that it's nearly impossible, you couldn't do it unless you sneak up and he doesn't have time to react.
Not sure again who you are arguing with. I doubt many still in this thread are so worried about how Lucic handles himself; this argument is about the street and the fact he is a celebrity - as he prepares to throw a punch a guy from behind will tackle him, the second guy will kick him, and lucic will suffer a significant injury. Or dude picking the fight knows what he is doing.

Now here is where you contradict yourself. The large majority of people that learn mma or boxing do not spar hard enough to react correctly, yet Lucic can 100% of the time? Somehow he trains to fight so much that he can do this? He can beat Velasquez? They are both heavyweights, so why not?

Lesnar never fought Rua, so I am thinking you are trolling us now?

It is true that training in combat sports (mma, freestyle wrestling, boxing) do change the way you react to punches being thrown at you. I grew up freestyle wrestling and boxing and I react differently in a fight than my buddy would who has not been trained.

It is hard to explain but it is almost like your muscle memory is so good that you can block anything coming at you and stay calm to pick your shots. I think the ability to control your adrenaline in a physical confrontation is key since your able to keep a calm head and see things clearly where as someone who has not had the experience/training will go into almost a blind rage and leave themselves wide open to be 1 punched.

I have a force field around me that pushes off all on-coming attacks with ease. I developed this through muscle memory gainged from playing ping-pong.

We just learn to disassociate ourselves from the lesser qualities of the city, I think.

It's a fact, our club district is stupid. But really, what did you expect when the only thing to do is there drink, drugs, and listen to the same 40 songs played at a dangerously high volume, over and over. It's a well-formulated hypnotism they've got going on here. Even the lyrics reinforce the narrative several times a minute. Add strobe lights and it may as well be a science experiment.

It makes a few millionaires a ton of money, the police get a big kick back from it, and the province controls the sale of liquor so they turn a blind eye, in fact, they don't even have to turn their eye because they can't see what's going on through the stack of money they've made.

Here's what we do have going though (took this picture on Sunday):

Spoiler!

So yea, we're stuck in enemy territory, and the enemies are tools, but their territory.... it ain't so bad.

That's right outside my place. The sunsets have been incredible lately.

There's definitely some idiots in this city, but they aren't a part of my lifestyle, so it's easy to enjoy the beauty of Vancouver.

I love walking in that area. Having some dry hockey rinks right next to the walking path and the water is a really cool city feature, too.

+1. It's a city of over 2.5 million people and this guy perfectly represents all of them. There's not even any variability in quality of people, every single person who lives there is in a gang and has committed multiple criminal acts. The only reason that they're not all under arrest is that there aren't enough jails in the world. It's easier to just operate the entire lower mainland as a sort of prison colony.

But would you have to pass through 'The Narrows' to get there?

They're in the process of tolling all the bridges. Raising the rate to $5/day would be enough to lock us in.
