I tried the saddledome and this was the response I got:
"Hi Nick--

Thank you for your inquiry. However, the Saddledome does not rent out ice times. It sounds like a great idea but you cannot have it happen in our building.

Thank you"

Seems weird , I know I have seen people playing on the dome ice before. Oh well... I will look at Fairview, West HillHurst, and a couple others.

The Saddledome is booked that whole time. Flames and Hitmen practice on Dec 26th and then Flames and Hitmen games from Dec 27 to Jan 5, with the Mac's Midget Tournament on Jan 1.

In order to rent ice there you would have to have a Big League Experience and those cost a bundle of money.

looks like they don't rent regular ice at all as per their message to me: "However, the Saddledome does not rent out ice times."

Big league experiences are something like 10k I heard.

You can get the Corrall and the price really isn't that bad. I've booked lots of ice there and the only real drawback is parking. I think if you book daytime ice it's $180 per hour and peak hours go up to $300 or more. But it's best to book it at a time when there are no Saddledome events so that people can park in Lot A on the north side of the dome for free and hike over.

Quote:
The Corral is also available seasonally for commercial ice rentals. Ice can be booked from September through March. For inquiries or to book ice time please call 403.261.0111 between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
City rinks are decently priced, here is a link to them:

I would be in for this depending on the time.

Stu Peppard has nice rooms.

Corral is pretty good too. Super warm though.

There's a free family skate happening soon. I recommend taking over the rink.

Fairview has renovated their locker rooms. Nothing too special, but the showers you remember are gone.

We got a few ice times during the lockout season 04/05 when they had lots of icetime available.

If I remember a few years back they stated they wouldn't be renting the ice out to the public. Something about helping the ice to be "better"

Would anyone be opposed to East Calgary Twin Arena? I like the people who run it and would like to help them out by booking their ice. We can get a couple hours there and get a good skate in. Likely the 27th Friday or the 30th Monday.... thoughts?

Arena's are fine. Be forewarned of miniature dressing rooms though. 27th would be better.

Miniature ? I have played in both sides and they seem fairly standard.
