Watching the game and can't stop thinking how these two teams both have a looooong way to go before they can become serious cup contenders again. Don't care for Buffalo, but the thought about Calgary makes me sad.

First time tuning in. Those Sabres jerseys....I'll never complain about our 3rds again.

Yeah, and I'm not sure if anyone else noticed, but Ott has his captain's C on his shoulder which is just weird

Good point, if we were a contending team I don't think I would feel the same way

Holy crap, Butler took his time and shot the puck into an area where there wasn't an opposing player to hold the puck in and generate a scoring chance...Twice on one shift.

Refs thoughts: "C'mon we're making this game all about the special teams and you jokers still can't get it done. Unbelievable."

I like to watch all the games, but I'm seriously debating just pulling the chute on this one and watching the Homeland finale.

One of the worst periods of hockey I've seen this year. On both sides. Obviously the first goal wins now, as neither of these teams are able to generate any offence.

Yeah, I am as well.
Intermission coverage has been patchy - got the first, but not the second. And naturally enough, we got none on the day Feaster got fired.

Rogers, your wallet got you the deal in spite of the talent. Please know this.

Sportsnet regional does not equal Sportsnet national broadcasts. The regional broadcasts will likely retain most of their "talent" and be considerably worse than their national broadcasts.

But considering there has been 20 minutes of penalties issued, that's kind of sad. Even if some were concurrent.

Ramo has looked really good lately. Berra's getting better too. They may have looked like backups earlier this season, but Ramo is certainly looking more and more like a #1.

Lets be real here, Sportsnet's two flagship hockey personalities are Nick Kypreos and Doug MacLean.
It's top to bottom.
