He didn't veto. He asked the Flames go go back to the Penguins. It was Feaster that went back and accepted a lesser offer. He shouldn't have and told Iginla he couldn't work out a deal with the Penguins. Iginla would have gone to Boston of the Flames didn't give him the Penguins option. I'm not blaming Iginla for taking the option but the Flames shouldn't have given it to him and said their deal wasn't good enough.

It was the way the Iginla thing happened - it never should have got there. There should have been a clear list of teams in advance that Iginla would accept a trade to, without having to go back around and give him a choice. Instead, it appears as though they did agree to go back to him for a choice and he chose Pittsburgh.

What word are you talking about? Trading him to a team on his list? If they gave Iginla their word they would trade him to the Penguins why did they make a deal with the Bruins?

Did you not just get sin-binned for calling people "igtards"?
All due respect to a franchise player aside, maybe you need to ease off the throttle of making broad statements about the fan base or management's opinion on him.

But that isn't "Doing Iginla Right"
As if paying over $50 million wasn't enough.

Exactly...he alluded to the fact that Weisbrod was not in his office or in Flames quarters that much so never ran into him a whole lot.

Sounds like Wisebrod was not well liked around the league.

Lots of media chatter about Jankowski and the fact Weisbord was not always getting full endorsement with his picks.

Now, we'll see Burke work his magic and get some real NHL players in the lineup over the course of this next few years. Bigger, faster, with center depth, better d-men, and better goalies. Total rebuild.

Let's get real here for a second. Do you think franchise players like Iginla grow on trees? Franchise players aren't always found in the top 3 picks. Some of the best players in the league have been drafted 45+ overall. Tanking for picks isn't the answer (Edmonton says hi). Drafting intelligently is more important than getting 1st overalls.

Maybe you are talking about evaluating and accepting an offer but it read like you suggested Feaster misrepresent his dealings with the Pens
