Street`s been solid so far this season. Started with solid play in the NHL and seems like he`s been amazing for the Heat.

I'd actually like to see Street get another shot with the Flames before the end of the year. The only think lacking from his game at the NHL level was putting up points, and he even admitted after being sent down that he was probably a little too tentative and focused on defensive responsibilities with the Flames. Since being sent down he's been absolutely on fire (no pun intended).

16 goals and counting in 21 games for Street so far.
Solid is an understatement haha.

Nice to see Knight break out of his offensive slump with two primary assists so far tonight.

We are overstocked on defense right now, Breen has to be coming down soon which will only contribute to the over crowding situation. Can anyone explain why Ramage will stay over Lafranchise? Lafranchise has only played 5 games #'s are steadily improving with each game.

Those type of decisions are way above my pay grade, but if it were me I'd let him continue to build confidence doing what he's doing with the Heat, rather than make him attempt another big jump in such a short period of time.
This time last year he was barely able to dress in the ECHL, and just a couple months ago he was off to a 0 point in 11 game start with the Heat.
No need to rush him IMO.

Is there something wrong with the way Ramage has played?
Hard to gauge a defensive D-man without seeing him with my own eyes regularly, or without even being able to see his ice time numbers.

IMO even a defensive defenseman who has played as many games would have better numbers or should have than a call up, especially given all the ice time received as a first pairing during the most recent injury situation.

One of those D-men is 22 and in his 1st year as a pro.
The other is 25 and in his 4th year as a pro.
Ramage is obviously going to get a longer leash, and more of a chance to grow IMO.
Lafranchise though, has played well enough to stick around and dress over the likes Lamb (25), Arsene (33), and Mackenzie (24).....none of which have an NHL contract, and are on a more even playing field with Lafranchise than Ramage is.
