icon57 Iginla Tribute Video

Just in case anyone missed the pre game video tribute. Included is the fan reaction and standing ovation after the video

Video was pretty disappointing. Honestly felt pretty amateurish. I bet AC could have done a much better job. The ovation was nice though.

I completely agree - underwhelming, but the crowd reaction was wonderful. Must have been exciting to be there.

Agreed, he turned down a job offer from them though so they will have to make do with 2nd rate talent. We're stuck with him here.

Why'd he turn down the job offer. You'd think that would be his dream job

Love the video, what it didn't catch was that before the high five, Harvey was doing the Wayne's World "we're not worthy" bow on the ice..

Great moment for Calgary Hockey.

Not amateurish by any means, but rather poor in terms of story-telling. They tried to cram so much into it (most likely because of the lack of time given), that nothing really stood out and you didn't know what to pay attention to. So in the end, nothing sticks.

I would have prefer'd a Peter Maher voiceover rather that just using Feaster's press conference audio from when he was traded. For 17 years of history and 8 months to prepare for this, I was a little disappointed that THAT'S the person they had describing Jarome.

Thanks do much for posting this! I read about it and it sounded nice, but it was way better that I thought it might have been. Those of you at the game must have had a wonderful time - even if it was a loss.

Or, this guy, that did it for the voice over of tribute the next home game after he was traded.

As opposed to the guy, at 51 seconds of this next video, who was more concerned with clearing something out of his teeth while everyone in the arena, and the others in the press box shot (save Wisebrod), was clapping for the above video/saluting Jarome.

The video could have been 10 seconds with a still photo of Iggy. The 2 minute standing ovation that followed is what people -- including Iggy -- will remember.

Besides, let's save the 28 minute tribute for when we raise #12 into the rafters (I'm sure AC will license it for a reasonable fee )

I find it somewhat hilarious that they play M83, with the lyrics, "waiting for a call" after the tribute video. Please... Call us Iggy. Love, Feaster.
