Wish he had played a few more games, didn't really get to see much from him. Oh well.

Free's up a roster spot for someone who can actually play hockey.

McGrattan looked great last night so not surprised. Punch a few faces in the AHL.

From what I've heard this guy CAN play hockey..

He'll be a good 4th liner one day. I see him being a player similar to 2010 Jackman, maybe with more offence.

no surprise. Monahan, Galiardi and Glencross are all close to returning, so it's time to make some room. Down to 21 healthy bodies now ... have to send down one more when all of the above are ready to return. Byron would be the one, I suppose.

You've watched his career that closely, have you? Is that what you told our scouts when they asked you?

I watched him play a few games with the Stars and the Heat. He's terrible.

Okay, I guess I'll just take your word for it then since you seem to be an expert on the kid.

No surprise because McGrattan is back. We don't need for Hartley to bench one of Baertschi, Bouma or Backlund just to put him in the lineup. I am sure Byron will be next to be sent down once Monahan or Glencross comes back.

Anyone else think Blair Jones has pretty much earned himself a permanent roster spot? He's been a completely different player this season.

Actually no he looks like the same player to me in the Nhl but apparently has been much better for the Heat this year.

I see him as not skilled enough for the top 6 and not gritty enough for the bottom 6, and hopefully the team moves on when his contract is up and gives Reinhart etc the shot

Still think Jones is done as a Flame by the end of the year. But he's at least earned himself a shot with someone at either the trade deadline or in free agency.

I've really liked what I've seen from him since the call up, especially on the PK. I see no issue with him as a 3rd/4th line guy, at least for now.
