Yes. If I was driving home, I would love to get these tweets while I'm still at work so I can plan an alternate route home.

Nice try though troll.

Tell him to take 16 Ave east out to Stoney Trail and come around the north side. That'll be fine.

It's not to far away now that you can subscribe to Tweets via your onboard navigation/digital console. Then you have the Tweets read out to you (in addition to having the Tweet on the screen). Mercedes has integrated the driving experience with Google Glass, and many car companies are allowing app integration with their on-board digital console systems.

There are quite a few I think. There use to be (maybe still is) one near the Bonnybrook treatment plant.

Who gives a rats ass if it was the pedestrians fault. He died. And would more details make you feel like he deserved it?

The stigma only fades, it never really goes away. Just admit it. You still text while you drive. I'm sure there are other people on here who do it.

Never said I didn't. Just don't do it while actually driving now. Only at red lights. Much harder to text on an iPhone compared to T9 (or predictive text) pre-smart phone.

Don't know why everyone wants to use Deerfoot or 16th Ave to get to Airdrie. I always find Deerfoot to be at a standstill until you hit 64th Ave.

So, to leave downtown to get to Airdrie, which I do on occasion:
Go up Centre St from downtown (ie. past the Bow building).
The major blockage is at 16th Ave, go through that. Sit in the middle lane and wait it out, a few lights, the traffic lessens considerably here. Another minor block at McKnight, perhaps a couple of lights.
Turn right on 64th, then left lane to get onto Deerfoot and you're on your way.

If 64th is having issues, stay on Centre, keep going north to Beddington Blvd* (just before the Co-op), turn right, go around and turn left onto Beddington Trail. Right onto Harvest Hills Blvd, follow it up to Stoney Trail, go right and take the Deerfoot north exit.

Either of these takes about 40-45 minutes to Airdrie. If I actually take Deerfoot, it's well over an hour everytime.

* You cannot go straight and have Centre St join with Harvest Hills Blvd, it is a bus trap.

Absolutely insane backups in the north because of Deerfoot. Thought they'd have it open by now. McKnight Blvd is a parking lot everyday anyway, so you can barely tell.

I do, because I am of above average intelligence and know when I can take certain "risks" while driving.

Only reason I suggested 16th is because Deerfoot is closed.

Sending out tweets about traffic problems doesn't necessarily mean that drivers are looking at their phones. My passenger yesterday told me about a big problem at Glenmore and 37th, while I was on Sarcee. Thanks to that tweet, we took a different route and avoided whatever pile up was going on there.

Passengers. They're in the car with you, and free to read tweets. Mind=blown.

So if you were in the car by yourself what would you do? Pull off to the side and read your tweets? haha

Why not just listen to 660 and not have to pull over....

I am really struggling with why you don't understand what everyone is saying.

Not sure if trolling.

What trap? I'm well aware what the distracted driving laws are.

I also know when to look around to see if any cop cars or ghost cars are around.

Your posts are starting to get as annoying as your he he he he's.
