the rumors of him sulking have been around all year, he's 30 years old so he doesn't want to be part of Moyes 'rebuild'

and he only went to Man U when SAF told him he was going to manage at least 3 more years

Was it actually RvP that handed in the request or the little boy inside of him? The little guy is a bit of a punk...

Just watched/scanned the morning games on the pvr... couple shockers.

RVP is a loser, all the talent in the world, zero character, kind of guy with no loyalty.

Thought the Nolan tackle on Henderson that got a red was a horror tackle, could have destroyed his career going studs into his achilles/calf.

Oh, for sure. With Moyes coming in I figured not that they could make 3rd, but I expected that they would. I didn't think the Moyes effect would take hold so quickly, but it has. It's a beautiful thing!

Manchester United manager David Moyes has rejected claims by Mark Lawrenson that Robin van Persie has asked to leave Old Trafford.

Pundit and former Liverpool player Lawrenson made his observation in an interview on an Irish radio stadium on Friday. Given Lawrenson knows Moyes through a connection at Preston, the comments were noteworthy, even if United privately distanced themselves from them.

However, offered the opportunity to respond following Saturday's 1-0 home defeat by Newcastle, when Van Persie returned from a groin injury after a four-match absence, Moyes did not mince his words.

"That is absolute nonsense," said Moyes. "I don't know what harder or tougher word I could say but that's as good as I've got."

Also, what a stretch for Palace getting 9/12 points. About to take some beatings in the next couple weeks but actually have a chance of staying up. If they could ever stay up for a few years and get the money to upgrade their infrastructure that could be a massive club IMO. Huge catchment area to draw from in South London.

Interesting dilemma for Everton, if Oviedo seems like the real deal then why not sell old man Baines to United and take their £20m.

Hmm .... A tad strange that someone that is employed by the BBC would be breaking such a scoop to an Irish radio station?

And a quick glance over to the beeb website and they aren't reporting it? Wow! Thought they'd be all over a story like that.

Unless .....

It does sound like BS for sure. However, I wouldn't be surprised if him being in the know was BS, but it's true anyhow. Van Persie has been said to be unsatisfied with Moyesey's training methods. Ferguson and his team did have him on the field far more often than he was for the most part playing for Arsenal. For someone that injury prone, it's important for sure. If he feels the level of play of the team this year isn't to his liking, AND the training methods are a threat to his fitness, well then I don't see why he would want to stay. Also, if that bit about Ferguson promising him he wouldn't retire for at least 3 years is true, then that's yet another reason for Robin to be unsettled.

Ya it couldn't have happened at a worse time, especially with Sturridge out for a month or so too.

It will be time to see if the likes of Allen and Henderson can step up and show the ability to influence a midfield at a high level.

They should sign him, he sounds like he knows his stuff.

Cruzeiro player Everton Ribeiro believes he could be the answer to Manchester United’s midfield woes.

"United have Kagawa, Rooney, De Gea is the goalkeeper. I know them very well because I play with them a lot in video games as they are a great team. You play it one day after the other and know the players even better.

"I would fit in any part of the midfield. I would do well as a playmaker to support the attack."

They're in trouble. Now of course they have Hernandez, and Januzaj might be a good candidate to fill in, but David Moyes'll just play Welbeck as striker.
