Actually no he didn't. Pretty even tilt at best and McDermid didn't really land any punches. Dallas announcers though were totally out of control. Kind of funny actually.

Exactly. Don't let the results fool you Bob. You know what's best. Hopefully Berra gets the start again too.

Would like to see a different player slot in for Colorado, but if grats is down for an extended timeframe, we are going to need some size for the BoA and when Boston comes to town.

The irony is that the Flames have obviously thought this through a hell of a lot more than you have.

Looking forward to seeing what Mugdermid can offer, don't mind Mugrattin taking a break.

Fair enough. I jumped the gun without realizing McGrattan was out. Still don't like the move though and think Hartley is too stuck in his thinking with regard to enforcers.

Hopefully Hartley will loosen the reigns on McDermid and actually let a tough guy do what they're on the roster for, certainly for Saturday.

Some retribution is needed for the Oilers captain bullying a skilled Flames player into a fight last game. No in game response, even with #16 on the ice, to stand up for a teammate getting pushed around, which was certainly the lowlight of this season.

Boner... this just confirms Parker's story of how Hartley gave him the shaft!

Consensus so far from those I talked to is he looks Ryan Smyth ugly with that hairdo.

MacDermid was fairly unnoticeable here in Abby. Didn't do too much in the two home games against Utica. He did what he was supposed to do which is be physical, but meh.

He was acquired to replace Jackman so here he is.

Another pylon taking up valuable roster space.

While I understand that a few people didn't realise Grats was hurt, I did find the "Reinhart sent down, McDermid called up, BAERTSCHI SITTING OBV!" logic. As though, at some point in history, Sven has sat to give an enforcer a chance.

Sven sits because sometimes he needs to sit, whatever enforcer is in the lineup has quite literally ZERO effect on whether he sits or not.

Either way, hopefully this guy can kind of play. Grats can only kind of play, so "kind of" should be plenty.

That doesn't preclude that they could often be wrong

That's my beef. If we're going to use a enforcer at least find one that can play some hockey. McDermid can't play hockey and is merely a pylon.

Hopefully it was a little bit of a case of disappointment being back in the A, having started the whole year in the NHL, probably thought he might have been past his AHL days. If he still looks meh with the Flames, oh well, we can still send him back down to Abby until Dec 22nd.

If he can have the same career as Jackman we should be thrilled, especially circa 2010 Jackman.

Migrattin.
