Knoxville CH SF: Polansky def. Garanganga 4-6 6-1 6-3

3rd challenger final in a row for Peter, this gets him to roughly 141 and a new career high.

Lets hope he doesn't have another finals meltdown like last week.I'm not sure where this has come from though. 1 career Challenger final coming in and suddenly he has 3 in a row, Peter has never shown anything close to this kind of consistency. It's really nice to see

Watched that one live, really entertaining at times...not often you see one guy hit a tweener and the other guy counter with a no look over the shoulder shot.

Fedal on court right now...just praying for a competitive match.

Polansky lost again. 3rd final in 3 weeks. Tomorrow he reaches a career high 141 in the world.

Peter's run has been incredible. But what's more incredible is that's he's made three challenger finals in a row and is still not sniffing the top 100 or direct entry to the Australian Open - shows how far he had fallen. On the bright side after this result and potentially Champaign next week he has less than 50 points to defend for the first six months of next year

Insane point from yesterday's match. Surprise it got no attention considering it was a Masters.

I saw that point live and thought to myself, that's one of the best rallies I've ever seen in my life. and yeah, most of the articles I read about the match brought that one up. just not on here, you know how dead it gets if it's not a grand slam or a Canadian player.

I just like how much intrigue this sets up for 2014. yeah Rafa is king right now (rightfully earned) but there has to be some lingering doubt in there after that final beatdown. at the very least, both these guys are awesome chasers and terrible frontrunners. it's like they need the other guy to smack them around before they get really motivated.

Finally some real tennis news! Japan announced venue and court for Davis cup draw. Indoor hard court should play into our strengths quite well

Stepanek really delivers at the Davis Cup. Congrats to the Czech Republic on their consecutive titles.

Lots of press on Genie Bouchard this morning. The WTA's named her the 2013 Newcomer of the Year, only the second Canadian to do so. She joins a very impressive list of names:

We really had no chance with Tipsarevic injured. Also, I'm really ticked off at the people in WADA. They kept purposely Djokovic for almost 5 hours for "tests" when he was supposed to be with the rest of the team supporting our doubles team. Revenge for his comments on the Troicki case?
