Default The Sopranos Video game!

For anyone who's a soprano's fan, THQ has announced they will be making a Sopranos video game on PS2 and Xbox, which should be released later this fall.

Hah, did it ever.

Yea, I'm always skeptical of TV shows/Movies made into games, or of course, Vice Versa, theirs always a few exceptions, in which they turn out great, but for the most part, they all generally seem to be crap, and just trying to cash in on the name itself.

The Matrix game and the LOTR games have all been pretty sweet. Most of the Star Wars games have been decent too, so you never know. Anybody play that new Godfather game?

I have to admit to being fairly skeptical that this will work. Half the stuff on the show couldn't go in a video game. I just can't quite see "Level 1: VIP Room of the Bada-Bing" going over very well with parents.

(Ironically, most parents would by contrast be fine with "Level 2: Beat the crap out of a hapless shopkeeper who's into you for twenty large." Go figure.)

I bought it for my Xbox. It's OK, nothing great. Kinda neat they have the original actor's voices in the game (including Brando before he died). Some of the game has the same story line and plot as the movie(s), which is kinda cool.

If you have ever played any of the Grand Theft Auto series you will find there are plenty of similarities. Stealing vehicles, fighting and shooting techniques are the same. Only difference for me is that it seems the GTA:San Andreas has many more areas to explore and travel and takes much longer to complete.......hence, worth the money you spend on it.

I would suggest renting before you decide to throw money down for it.
