Mar lost because he had no vision. Beyond 'flood leadership' he just didn't have anything to offer. Woolley would be seen as more progressive because he actually had some vision for what the Ward should look like.

Damn right. The best use of his time would have been to focus on hands on cleaning. He should have been humping garbage out of basements, not co-ordinating, supervising the clean up on the city and help it recover from the largest catastrophe it had ever seen.

I live in a condo so I don't mess with yard stuff there, but when I go to my mom's place to help out with yard work I don't have any problem throwing out yard waste. Course we keep it within reason and only have extra bags maybe once in the spring and once in the fall.

Is this actually a thing?

Kind of funny that they have made mention that Cal's son; Shane Wenzel, tweeted on April 14th calling his father "The Godfather" (months before the Nenshi interview).

I was always amused at Wenzel adding that in, because it shows that if he isn't cunning, he pretty much is senile. The whole godfather bit was simply a distraction from the real complaint (being accused of breaking the law). If it is cunning rather than senility, that was probably added to give the media something to latch onto other than "Cal Wenzel allegedly broke the law". Because he probably doesn't want that written over and over again by the press, so he gave them the easy target.

As to the statement itself, I'd say section 59 utterly demolishes Wenzel's case. Everything Nenshi said is based on Wenzel's own statements. It is pretty much impossible for Wenzel to claim that Nenshi was making a false statement of fact when he was caught on video discussing ways to violate election law.
