Well if there's one guy in the league that can't play with a broken jaw, it's Burrows.

^Considering the injury happened during the first period on Sunday and he finished the game I'd say he proved that one wrong.

61.8% Fenwick Close, good for 5th in the NHL... so I'd say it does. Not to mention their depth at forward isn't exactly what it was, they can't afford to lose top 6 guys.

I'd normally go all fun-police on a thread like this, that's in extremely poor taste by essentially gloating over a guy getting a broken jaw...

But it's Burrows.

Carry on.

I'm sure the Canucks will miss him and his 3 points. For those keeping track, that's $1.5 million per point.

With the Canucks already in tough to make the playoffs, let alone put the puck in the net, where ever will they replace his goal production from? Of the Canucks top 6, his goal scoring stats are the most consistent game in and game out.

Thank God Booth is back from injury!

I just assumed that the injury occurred when someone finally punched him in the face to shut him up.

Well at least this won't affect his ability to pull hair and knee players in the groin.

A former NHLer I know said amongst many injuries, breaking his jaw was by far the worst.

Suck it Burrows.

2013-14 Canucks are starting to look a lot like the 2008-09 Flames. A team that was clearly supposed to make the playoffs and has its veteran core locked in for a long time.

Then the injuries (Gio, Langkow, Bourque, Bertuzzi, Regehr and finally Phanuef) ... When the Flames added Jokinen that was likely the best Flame line-up since the 1992 Gilmour trade.

Now the Canucks are still paper tigers and should make the playoffs..... but they really need to add Cammalleri ...

their 1st round pick? or Horvat?

Yep, big loss, he has been a great possession driver this year and just hasn't had the puckluck yet (Career 13% shooting percentage and has 50 SOG in his 17 games)

I'm sure he'd try, despite the fact that he prefers biting, but you might have to give him a bit of a handicap.
