Perfect example of the new Rogers deal. Mclean just said on CBC that southern Alberta viewers won't miss the Flames faceoff. Under the new deal, the game would simply start on a new channel. Instead of the start being delayed on CBC or CBC splitting the feed to show the Flames in southern Alberta while the Leafs/Habs finish up for the rest of the country.

It wouldn't SIMPLY start on another channel. It would start on a channel that people have to pay $50.00 a month for! (Actually, I'm not sure how much it costs..but I know that its more expensive than over the air television).

Even the CRTC said during the switch from analogue to digital that people with OTA "should consider receiving their television from cable or satellite".
