The last time something in Anaheim made me this sick was when I rode the Tea Cups.

I actually thought Backlund played well and was working hard all game. I see that Hartley was giving him the verbal bashing after putting the puck over the glass in the first, I guess that's why his linemates didn't get any better.

They still put up a couple goals. I'm happy it wasn't close to the Boston Massacre or the San Jose Smackdown we had to watch a couple of seasons ago.

The Islanders should be embarrassed. What a joke of a team.

Silver lining: cammalerri won't want to re-sign with this team. So two more first rounders here we come!

Well done, you lasted much longer than most flames fans who were on the bad for Ekblad before the season even started.

Shannon's typical analysis... "for a team that can't score goals"...

GPG:
Calgary 15
High Flying Oilers 19

If that continues, it will mark the 6th time in the last 7 years that the 'can't score goals' Flames will finish ahead of the high flying Oilers

But don't let that get in the way of your top flight analysis there Shannon

He won't be netting a 1st rounder with his recent play.

Just think he likely looking at a big promotion next season to HNIC or some other national hockey venue. Good times.

Because he wasn't playing as good a couple weeks ago and the press box may have woke him up a little bit.

This deserves its own thread.

Yes the team was good in the 80s...

Do you ever have anything useful to post?

This is just the warm up for how bad we're going to be next year. Probably 5 to 10 teams will actively be trying to lose to get McDavid, so I guess it's good that we're learning how to lose this year. The key is our horrible goaltenders. No team in the league can compete with our goaltenders ability to give up back breaking goals.
