I didn't use the 1st gen mini all that much; other than to try it out in a store. It does look sharp; and once I get it home and can throw some videos on it- that will be the true test.

The TSN turning point for me for getting the new one was the CPU. Last year's model uses the same CPU as the iPad 2; so getting the new one is a 3 year jump in CPU.

About 30g or 10% I think - probably to get the retina display in and a decent batter to power that upgrade. Though the new processor should be sipping power at lower levels or it would probably be even heavier.

Has anyone found a fix for this iOS 7 video embedding issue? Chrome and Safari still wont display the majority of embedded videos. The only browser I find work at all is Opera, which is pretty slow.

Can't say I've noticed this... it feels like I watch embedded videos all the time. Example to test?

You can watch them but a lot of the time I get a blank white space and it takes forever to load. Have this issue on my iPad and iPhone.

I have to quote the video, copy the YouTube thingy and the search in a new window to watch the video. Annoying.
