Cigars

Did a quick search and couldn't see any topics on cigars....if any of you guys like to have a cigar once in a while ( I have one a week + golfing ) what kind do you like and why?

i smoke captian Blacks, sweets. really nice cigars and decent price. they dont leave a bad after taste the next morning like colts do.

I used to buy cigars at the local humidor near my place. I don't mind spending $10-15 on a cigar, but you get an average cigar for that price.

I've been to Cuba twice in the past year. Brought back a few boxes of Cohibas (exquisitos and siglo II), Monte Cristo No. 2, Partegas 8-9-8 and Romeo and Julieta Exhibicion No 4.

I need a bigger humidor.

I don't smoke them a whole lot mainly on the golf course. Cohiba Esplendidos are my favorite.. big $$$ though...

I also like Cohebas and Monte Cristos. 7-11 have Reas right now, they are expensive $6 per cigar. I had these wicked ones in Chicago, they had a sugar tip in the end of them and had a vanilla smell to them, unfortunately I can't find any of them anywhere.

I've got a Monte Cristo 4 waiting for a special occasion, but for the most part, I prefer pipe tobacco to cigars, and I generally light up about once or twice a month. I've yet to find a good tobacconist in Calgary, though. Any of you guys know of one?

I brought back about 6 packs of Cohibas and a couple Romeo's from Malta. (very cheap cigars + no tax) I usually only smoke in the summer while golfing or camping. Too cold in the winter.

My favorites are Montecristo #3 and Cohiba Robustos. I made a Humidor out of a cooler about 7 years ago and it has had cigars in there since. I smoked one that was in there for 5 years awhile back. I use to smoke alot but haven't in the last few years.
the cooler is a easy way, line it with spanish cedar and throw a sponge in a tupperware container drill holes in the tupperware container lid. I use a digital hygrometer and presto you have a big humidor..

I usually have 1 or 2 cigars hanging around from friends who have gone to Cuba & other places. I've heard for the humidorless, that soaking a paper towel, putting it in a partially opened ziplock bag, then putting that inside another ziplock bag that has the cigar in it works...yay or nay??

It has been so long since I haven't had a humidor I am not sure. I kinda remember doing something like that. I would guess it would work OK. Not 100% sure though
