My WTH moment occurred when I was riding the train south. As we pull into Erlton station, I look over and see a woman, crouched with her pants at her ankles taking a piss that would put a race horse to shame. Everyone on the train saw this and was pretty grossed out. No, I was not aroused by this

This happened to my brother and I roughly two years ago during summer.
We had just got off work (worked at the same place) and went to the car. We put some tunes on and were deciding on what to buy at the grocery store when this car sped up beside us in the parking lot and stopped....a dude jumped out and sprinted to the backseat door where the window was open. He leaned in, and chucked a big ass bag of weed into the backseat. I looked back at him and said "what the *&^!?". He looked at me with this worried look, grabbed the bag and said very quickly "wrong car, sorry". Don't think he was in that parking lot another 15 secs.

A little more than a year ago I was out for a drive with some friends. We got a flat so I pulled over. Kermit and Gonzo got out and had a look. Beaker stayed in the back keeping his eye on this strange guy about 50 feet down the street staring at us the whole time like he was seeing aliens. Weird sh__ seems to happen every time we drive over to Sesame Street to get some smack from Snuffy and Big Bird.

One summer my gf and i were driving down 1st sw and stopped at the mcleod trail light. There is an Esso car wash right there with a little patch of grass behind it and we were lucky enough to see two natives having sex. He was poking her from behind while giving the old reach around. This was happening late afternoon as well so it was pretty obvious.

on the friday evening news (global okanagan) they did a story about a winery in peachland and were 'showing off' some of the really expensive ice wines ($9800/bottle, $7900/bottle).
well, guess what winery got broken into early sunday morning?? ...and guess what was stolen...
Quote:
Sunday morning, thieves made off with roughly $30,000 worth of their product, including a 1983 and 1984 Riesling ice wine worth approximately $9,800 and $7,900 respectively.
Huber’s winery was featured in a Global Okanagan story about ice wines on Friday. While we can’t be certain there’s a connection, Huber says many of the wines featured in the story were targeted by the thieves.
|
now here's the part i love... tonight (sunday) on the news they did a story about the theft and said this...
Quote:
He believes the one product they were after was a 1978 Riesling, an extremely rare wine, one that has the title of first commercial ice-wine produced in North America. He’s appraised it at $1 million a bottle.
“They looked for the ’78 ice wine but they couldn’t find it in the safe,” said Huber.

really???
so i can only imagine what tomorrow's top story is going to be

Ok, WTH? First of all, that's way too much for ice wine. Secondly, what do these thieves plan to do with their "$30,000" haul? Drink it? Befriend wine lovers and sell it for half the price? Sell it on kijiji?
And again, WTH? A million dollars for a bottle of wine?

Maybe the winery has a great insurance policy.

Huber has been snakebitten in recent years. In 2006, one of those rare ’78s was stolen after his vehicle was broken into in the Lower Mainland.
Then last year during the Peachland fires, the historic Hainle vineyard — where the Okangan’s very first ice wine grapes were grown — were destroyed.

That's tragic. Those wines are really big parts of Canadian viticultural history. With the Hainle vineyard burned down that's a couple of significant historical losses for the Okanagan in the last year.

I didn't have it with me.
I'm one of those people who aren't attached to their phone. And when I do have it with me it's turned off. It's several years old, not sure if it goes on the web but I know it can send text messages, and it has a 1.3 mega pixel camera so even if I did get a picture it would likely have been worthless anyway.

Are......are you from the year 2005? Please, tell us how excited you are for the lock out to end and to see our beloved Stanley Cup run Flames hit the ice in front of a rejuvenated fanbase.
Damn, it I just depressed myself with that crappy satire.

He busts out 3 lines and we all snort it. But I knew right away it was bunk stuff. It wasn't very crystally and you could see massive white chunks which looked like tylenol. After doing the line and having my face burn, I told him this stuff was garbage and if he didn't have anything better then were leaving and sorry to waste your time. Now this dealer was a good friend of mine so I wasn't too worried about him getting upset. He starts going off about how pure the stuff is and its just us. We were parked in some liquor store downtown and he proceeds to roll down his window and calls over a couple homeless guys. He then says he wants to test the coke on them and see what they say. Conversation goes something like this:
Dealer: Hey guys, come here for a sec. You guys want a line?
Homeless man 1: Sure man
Homeless man 2: Is it meth man?
Homeless man 1: Ya man is it meth? I hope so.
Dealer:Nah man it's blow.
He then busts out 2 lines for the homeless guys and they snort it.
Dealer: So what did you think? Would you say that's coke?
Homeless man 1: Ya man it's good.
Dealer talking to us now: See I told you guys, it's good stuff.
I knew it wasn't so me and my friend got out. As we were walking away, the dealer calls over a group of guys just meters away and about 4 more homeless guys came up and the dealer kept giving them all lines. At one point he had a lineup of 6 guys outside his car window and he was just handing them off lines one by one. Me and my friend just walked away, cokeless and sketchy, shaking our heads at what we were seeing.

Walking along the Seawall, there was a guy riding his bike with an attached side buggy. The buggy was painted red and had the insignia of the red baron. Inside there was a mounted machine gun, and a goggle wearing pug sitting behind it.
