I'm glad that's not the LSU that showed up in Tuscaloosa. They owned A&M.

Theyre just not good enough. 2 losses in a weak Pac 12.

maybe with a big win on the road tonight Baylor could get closer.

Baylor struggling. QB was running in for a TD and tripped himself on the 1. Then th RB fumbled. Then OKST drove 99 yards for a TD

Holy Crap ..... Night Night ... this reminds me of the hardest hit I took in football. I had ringing in my ears for a couple of days. I actually cringe thinking about it.

It's also crazy thinking that growing up we played pickup football with no pads. I remember playing in college with college football players. We were so young and stupid. I remember I hit someone so hard ( not out of malice) playing pickup football one time that I knocked him out cold. He came too and jumped back into playing again.

I've been told pease had been let go, then right after that the same source said it was joker Phillips that was let go not pease.

ASU is already in the championship game...no?

Also...what AZ did to Oregon yesterday was awesome....out of the picture alltogether now meaning I wont be exposed to hideousness of their uniforms in a BCS game.....good.

So who are the probable candidates to replace Muschamp? Florida is still a top 5 job in college football in terms of resource availability and recruiting territory so getting a marquee coach shouldn't be hard in theory. Some of the guys I can see being linked are Chris Petersen (Boise State), Mike Gundy (Oklahoma State), Kevin Sumlin (Texas A&M), James Franklin (Vanderbilt).

The biggest coaching targets this offseason are going to be:

John Harbaugh (if the rumors are true)
Art Briles (who I think is better than Gundy and Sumlin)
Kevin Sumlin (who would scare me a little, what would he be without Manziel?)
Charlie Strong (missed expectations this season)
Chad Morris (OC for Clemson who has Texas ties so A&M might call if Sumlin bolts)
Kirby Smart (would he turn it down if Florida or Texas offered?)
James Franklin (doesn't seem to have the same buzz around him as last year)
Pat Fitzgerald (Probably won't ever leave NWU)
Jerry Gray (probably only a UT target and probably even then their 5-6th choice)
Ed Orgeron (obviously if USC doesn't retain him)
Dave Doeren (has done wonders at NIU)

Dark Horses:
Mike Leach (not for Florida, Texas or USC but possibly a smaller destination)
Gary Andersen (not a big name, but can flat out coach)
Mike McIntyre (same as above)

Slim possibilities:
Gus Malzahn (jumps around a lot, but very few jobs better than Auburn)

I don't see:
Mike Gundy (loves his alma mater and i think he believes he can win a nat'l title there, otoh T Boone didn't pay last time so he might leverage offers into a bigger contract)
Jon Gruden (think he loves broadcasting)
Chris Petersen (has never shown any interest in leaving for any job)

I honestly don't believe he will be fired this year.

I can tell you that the following will not be hired

Sumlin
Franklin
Strong

Simply because the big dollar boosters still are racist and wont allow a black man to be the coach yet. Sad, but that is the truth

Orgeron will not be hired, he doesn't have the best rep
Briles isn't leaving baylor for florida. Maybe texas
Smart? lol We already have a defensive coordinator as HC that is a Satan disciple

Leach wont fit in here with his fat little starwars crap
Andersen and McIntyre are interesting but not really sure about them

Gundy wont leave his alma mater for florida
Gruden makes more broadcasting than he would be paid coaching(and he's not that good of a coach)

Petersen isn't going to leave BSU. UF has an amazing medical school but he is at home in Boise with his family. I prefer we wouldn't uproot what he has there.

I honestly don't believe that they will go after a coordinator if Muschamp is fired. UF isn't a "learn on the job" job. We're finding out that now and it wouldn't work again.

The guy has to be offensive minded first

Bob Stoops will be thrown out, doubt he comes back to Gville but he will parlay that into another raise like the last two times we were looking for a coach.

Malzahn is a name that will get a lot of attention
Freeze will be another
Dan Mullen will get a look too.. He hasn't done much at MSU but who really has?

It will have to be a HOME RUN hire for sure. I personally like Muschamp, and believe that he has received the short end of the stick here putting out Meyer's dumpster fire. He had 69 scholarship players his first year!!! Then the injuries this year with the terrible offensive play calling and execution.

I believe that he deserves another year, I wouldn't be too upset if they let him go either. But from everything I've heard in Gville he will be retained.

Muschamp has NEVER had the full backing of the fans and boosters since being here. He was always seen as a Dawg and mole. The fans were always saying "if he doesn't win the 2 of 3 games" last year when it came up on the TAMU, UT, and UK games last year that he should be fired. Plenty of people wanted him fired after his first season.

I feel bad for the guy, he can win a title and still not have the 100% support of the fans. Hell some fans think that he is losing to UGA on purpose!

I also don't think Gruden would be interested in recruiting ... like, at all.

Ya they're in it. But a win over Arizona and they host it. Then it's just tickets and beer to buy! Having a place in Arizona makes a differance

MacIntyre isn't going anywhere.

If a better program comes a knocking he will. Colorado had pretty much become a step above SJSU and only that because they can pay more.

PS It's much more likely that he stays another year, but if he gets over that .500 mark next year he's most likely gone.

Alabama is currently at -10.5 to -11 over Auburn on betting sites. I wish I could be that confident. I won't even be able to watch this game because I'll be in Vancouver, but this is definitely a game that could derail the season. Iron Bowl, at Jordan-Hare, with Auburn coming off a bye week. Total minefield for Bama.

if auburn cant throw the ball they wont win. Bama's secondary is it's weakness but Auburn cant throw the ball. This isn't a Florida squad that the barn is playing that you can win with zero passing yards

I was telling my Florida-loving boss about the play where two Florida guys were blocking each other. He thought I was crazy, so I just sent him this animated GIF.

I asked him if he was on the "Fire Muschamp" bandwagon, and he went on a five-minute rant about how stupid Muschamp is. Apparently Florida fans are little fired up right now.
