Caps tie it up. Leafs getting outshot by a million but the Hnic announcers acting like they were owning the game until that goal.

And Ovie strikes again. Such a champ this year. He's is the will that guides the russians to a gold medal game this year. Pure beast mode.

CBC website keeps booting me out of the stream. Then I have to watch the same commercial twice before it reloads.

I'm thinking it might be a good idea for Yzerman to take Reimer and Bernier to Russia. Seems like a good tandem.

Probably wouldn't know what to know not facing 40 shots a night.

I gotta say, I haven't been overly impressed by the Leafs at all this year.

They seem to scraping by on way above average goaltending, and opportunistic scoring.

Will be interesting to see if they can stay in the playoff picture. Probably will I guess, especially given the plethora of very weak and/or consistent teams in the East.

Kessel takes a high stick and doesn't headsnap or look at the ref.

Hah...Kesler gets a 5 on 3 PP goal...Saad clearly slashed out a stick (I believe Kessler's)...but, as the 'Hawks are getting a 2 on 1 SH break, Shaw with a bonehead move, sticking out a trail leg. Did Shaw deserve a call? Absolutely...but...H. Sedin's feet were perfectly together as he launched over Shaw's leg...IMO, clear embellishment...what a joke when a team Captain looks like an Olympic diver off the high board.

1 - 0 after the first...Canucks will have a little PP time left to start the 2nd.

Awesome.

Iggy left:

- one Dman behind the net
- the other on the wrong side of the net
- the goalie flopping around like a fish out of water
- and Krejci all alone in front of the net with the puck

Fairly confident this is now called 'The Berra'.

Luongo seemed to overplay the Shaw redirect, and kick it in himself...it wasn't coming at him with any pace. Then a bad pinch by Stanton and the 'Hawk 4th line takes the lead...Kruger gets the goal. Q really doesn't "shorten the bench" as much as a lot of other coaches do in the 3rd period of close games.

BTW...only 9 seconds between goals.

I despise teams like Phoenix, Minnesota and Colorado. In fact I don't feel much fondness for any team in the league except for my Flames.

That being said, if the above mentioned teams succeeding helps to push the Nucks out of the post season with their aging, cap strapped team......I will be one happy, happy camper.

The thought of them missing the playoffs makes me absolutely giddy.

Whats up with Burrows?

3 points? He's on pace for less than 20. Is he done now at 32?

Nucks better hope not, still 3 more seasons after this with a $4.5 million cap hit.
