Default November 23, a dozen games!

There are lots of good games to watch today, including five divisional matchups and six teams that are playing, played last night. Elliote Freidman on twitter mentions where the HNIC commentators are.

Games on national television

has three games at 1700h

at

Calling the game will be Bob Cole, Garry Galley, and Cassie Campbell-Pascall. Unfotunately, this game is on HNIC from Quebec to Newfoundland. Another bad decision by the CBC. The game is also on RDS in french.

http://www.cbc.ca/sports-content/hockey/nhl/game/1346614/preview/

at

Calling the game will be Jim Hughson, Craig Simpson, Glenn Healy, and David Amber.
Unfortunately, this game is in western Canada and Ontario, except Ottawa.

at

For Ottawa area viewers only and not shown in Windsor and London.
Calling the game will be Mark Lee and Greg Millen only.

at 2000h

at

Calling the game will be Rick Ball, Kelly Hrudey, and Scott Oake.
Good news if you do not like these commentators, the game is also on WGN across Canada.

in the USA has a tripleheader

at

The game began at 1100h and the Bruins have a 2-1 lead in the third period.
Later on, the NHL Network will simulcast the HNIC doubleheader, Capitals-Leafs and Blackhawks-Canucks.

At 2030h, RDS2 in french will have

The Hurricanes tied it up with a shorthanded goal and it is currently in overtime.

It is scoreless late in the first between the Wild and Jets.

Sadly...it looks like the DTV feed for the 'Hawk/Canuck game will be the HNIC one...Thank goodness I don't have to listen to the Canuck homers. (Hughson on Canucks games is nearly intolerable)

In the game...Looks like Q is gonna ride Crawford...speculation is Crawford tonight and Monday in Edmonton, and Raanta to make his 1st NHL start in Calgary on Wednesday.

Bickell, Handzus, and Mills are still out...probably for the whole current road trip (rest of November).

Probable Lines for my guys:

Sharp/Toews/Hossa
Saad/Pirri/Kane
Versteeg/Shaw/Smith
Bollig/Kruger/Morin

Seakeith
Oduya/Hjammer
Leddy/Rozival (or Brookbank)

Hossa with Toews completely owned the Jets, the other night.

Rick Ball, the primary Canucks radio play by play commentator, is calling the game on HNIC. Dish and Indemand are also simulcasting the HNIC feed for this game since it is on NHL Network USA. It is ironic that in Canada, viewers can get both the HNIC and WGN feeds on regular digital television.

@patersonjeff: Luongo starts for #Canucks.

@FriedgeHNIC: Luongo will be the after hours guest on HNIC.

This could become a gong show if Chicago wins 7-2 and he is pulled.

I doubt it.

Hrudey was just on PTS this week and talked about how they had Luongo on after hours a few years ago and he had given up the most goals in his career that night and was an awesome guest taking time to interact with two kids they brought in. He seemed to imply there was some concern about what would happen after such a disappointing performance but that Luongo handled it perfectly.

Oh great Q really knows his stuff - Make your NHL debut in goal at Calgary and damn near certain a shutout

They're doing the opposite of us.

We started our rookie goalie in against the stanley cup champs. They're starting their rookie goalie in against a bottom feeder like us.

Which means, logically we should get the victory!

I'm hoping Ball can be a little objective on a National (and International) feed...

Crawford has seemed a little fatigued and has seen a lot of rubber lately...the D needs to tighten up too...the 'Hawk PK has been awful, to put it mildly. At least they don't take a LOT of penalties.

I read that Torts has been shuffling lines madly, and even split the Sedins for a while. They were able to torch the BJs, last night, though.

Late news on the Chicago/Vancouver game: Hossa has returned to Chicago to deal with a "Family Matter"

So Brookbank will probably play #4 RW...moving everyone else up a line

Abbotsford Heat are playing tonight in Iowa against the Wild affiliate. Impressive batch of prospects playing well down there right now. Don't be afraid to go to the prospects forum or tune in and listen @ www.teamradio.ca .

Game starts @ 6:00pm MST.

Not only the pass, but the play leading up to it, skating through the defenders. It's crazy how much stronger and faster Iggy looks this season.

Not as important if the team is winning. He keeps playing like that and they will come.

Pacioretty scores early in the second period, 1-0 Habs.

The Senators lead the Red Wings 2-1 early in the second period. All three goals were scored in first period in two and a half minutes.

The Wild came back to tie the Jets and then win it 3-2 in the shootout.
