Default Player by Player run down of the Flames roster

54 Andrew Cassels - is a good second line centre, probably will be moved, under contract for the next three years

45 Joe Nieuwendyk - we believe joey's days are done and he will most likely retire. if he doesn't he is cheap enough to keep around as a 4th line centre

53 Wes Walz - Mr. Walz will most likely be moving on

51 Steve Yzerman - if stevie retires the obviously he is gone, if he decides to kick around one more year, he will make a good 3rd line centre

21 Alyn Mccauley - the guy is a defensive specialist. would consider moving him if the deal is right.

92 Jeff O'Neill - jeff is under contract for another two years, salary is
appropriately in line. appropriate 2nd line lw'er. he'll stick around.

25 Richard Zednik - richard had a great season. salary is great, also a good second line lw'er. looking forward to keeping him around.

22 Eric Boguniecki - chances are he wont be back next season

55 Wyatt Smith - who??????
27 Greg Johnson - again, who????
60 Jean-Pierre Vigier - is an UFA, chances of resigning are slim unless the deal is right.

24 Teemu Selanne - teemu didnt display his offensive flair in the playoff unlike his real counterpart in the NHL. Makes a lot of money, chances are he will be moved in the right deal.

30 Glen Murray - the guy is a scoring machine and wont be moved. still under contract.

59 Dave Andreychuk- retired and gone

43 Rob Dimaio - great defensive numbers and his price is right, will probably stick with the big team

40 Jiri Slegr - is a cheap number 7/8 dman with a good OV, will probably be around for the next season

48 Kimmo Timonen - will probably take over the number one dman duties if
Schneider retires.

58 Adam Foote - adam has great defensive numbers and I am hoping to resign this UFA to a new contract.

42 Mathieu Schneider - his future is up in the air, hopefully he decides to play and not retire. if he plays, he will be around next season

10 Andreas Lilja- whats not to like about this guy, good defensively, great
numbers, good salary, he's a keeper

7 Greg DeVries - great numbers, cheap salary, he will be a number 7 guy on this squad

69 Nathan Dempsey - who??...will be moved.

62 Yannick Tremblay - panic yannick tremblay, will be moved. I just dont see him as a Flame

50 Miikka Kiprusoff - The odds on favourite for the Vezina and possibly the Hart. Kipper will remain a Flame. Trading star goaltenders will not happen a second time around.

47 Brian Boucher - his future will be decided depending on how Krahner is doing. If Krahn is ready, boucher will be moved. if not, boucher stays. how could I break up this tandem.

Taken from Dohbiggens column in the Herald today.

54 Andrew Cassels - is a bum, expect his OV to go down to 65 next year and if he has any pride he'll quit hockey.

45 Joe Nieuwendyk - NHL Niewy was good, and has one more year left on his NHL contract. Still a viable CPHL player

53 Wes Walz - If Axel had half a brain left he'd keep Walz. Walz is the Flames version of youth.

51 Steve Yzerman - He can still play, but no where near the level he used to. Hang em up before you suffer another serious injury!

21 Alyn Mccauley - Okay, this player is okay.

92 Jeff O'Neill - Another useless real life player. Expect his OV to plummet big time.

25 Richard Zednik - Very over rated player. Real life guy has tools but no tool box.

22 Eric Boguniecki - Yeah, he sucks

55 Wyatt Smith - He does have a cool name

27 Greg Johnson - Johnson is a decent two way forward. Wouldn't be the worst thing to keep him around

60 Jean-Pierre Vigier - Pretty much a nobody.

24 Teemu Selanne - Still has something to give, but is damn expensive.

30 Glen Murray - Another over rated CPHL player who is nothing without Joe Thornton. Expect his OV to plummet like the Mercury in Inuvik in January.

59 Dave Andreychuk- What another geezer?

43 Rob Dimaio - I guess he can be a spare part or AHL guy

40 Jiri Slegr - who cares, defenceman who would be out of the league if not for his exotic Euro name

48 Kimmo Timonen - Next to Kipper the Flames best player.

58 Adam Foote - Rates as either the 2nd or 3rd best potential UFA defenceman. Agents should put this guy on the open maket he'll get paid. You hear me Rich, you can make enough commission to buy me free golf for life.

42 Mathieu Schneider - Still a pretty effective veteran player

10 Andreas Lilja- Likes looking at Kristian Huselius' ass. Big and slow in real life but pretty cheap.

7 Greg DeVries - He'll probably be in the top 4 next year unless the team coughs up big money to keep Foote.

69 Nathan Dempsey - Decent spare part defenceman.

62 Yannick Tremblay - This guy's NHL days are done, and I'd expect his CPHL rating to drop big time. He never mertited a rating abouve 60 in the first place he's always sucked.]

50 Miikka Kiprusoff - Yeah, this guy is possibly the top goalie in hockey right now. I'm surprised Axel never traded him because he was too young.

47 Brian Boucher - This guy is a serious seive as was proven in the NHL last year. He'll either bounce back somewhere in the NHL with a good camp, or he'll be tending net for the Belfast Giants in 7 months.

And you'll also challenge for the right to draft Angelo Esposito next year despite having the best goalie in the league!!

To think all this time I thought all the CPHL GM's were just one big happy family. I must admit I'm surprised by some of the hostility being shown in this thread, albeit some is lighter and more subtle than others.

Ahh well, gives the league a little attitude. Keep up the entertainment!

As long as my mom lets me live in her basement for free I'm going to stay there. Why waste money I don't have to that I can use for more lucrative oppurtunities? Certainly a bussinessman like yourself should appreciate that.
