Can you get an Iginla curve with a more square end to the blade? I'm uncertain but I think I'll try it

Their kickstarter page has the curve patterns.

Wideman NEEDS this stick. Hopefully there's also an option for a permanent adhesive as well. The guy breaks and drops more sticks than anyone I've ever seen.

Existing composite sticks will break bone before they snap in half. What this would do is cutdown on the chintzy slashing calls where a player taps another player's already weakened stick and it snaps, resulting in a penalty

Companies make good money selling stuff like basic spoons, which don't cost that much and easily last for decades. As long as there's a big enough customer base, you'll always have a good income.

Everything breaks eventually. Or gets misplaced, destroyed in a fire, stolen, what ever. Tons of hockey sticks are bought for kids, who will grow up and need bigger sticks every year.

Also, you could open up a whole new market of much more customized sticks. Sticks in team colors would become feasible for every beer-league team with cash to spend. Special sticks for special events. Even more careful specifications might become feasible.

If the sticks stop being disposable, people will be ready to spend even more money on an individual stick. Plus they could want a couple of different ones after a while...

I don't know if I've ever seen a slash on a player cause a stick to break.

I am contemplating getting some ping pong balls. I think it would not only be awesome to have and show off by standing on it, but it would be awesome for beer pong. Also it may hurt more when throwing them at people, which of course means more fun!

No kidding. This isn't exactly '$20,000 electric car that goes 500km/charge' but it's pretty impressive.

There's no way this stick would be allowed by the league. Too much risk for injury from slashes and what have you.

When I saw the title I thought it was another Crazy Bacon Legs epic.

Kinda dissappointed.

Because if you slash someone, your stick normally breaks to cushion the blow?

Because if you have a stick that doesn't break as easily, then it will magically generate more force when you swing it at someone?

There was a time when NHLers used aluminum sticks with Kevlar blades, and I guarantee you those were stronger than this product (and also probably 3x heavier). And there was no inexplicable increase in slashing-related injuries.
