The unbreakable hockey stick
http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/t...eakable-stick/
This could put a huge dent into stick manufacturer's profits if it catches on

That looks awesome. And if it works as well as they think, they could easily charge double or triple or even more.

If it works, and they are selling it for $270 it wouldn't be a bad investment. The sticks I pick up are usually $100 give or take, so it would be cost effective if it lasts a long time.

If I am a big manufacturer like Reebok or Bauer, I will form a secret cartel with others and the league to ban these sticks, so to protect the revenue.

Either sell it for massive dollars, or sell it based on a contract (x sticks a season for x seasons). At the NHL level, they always hand out sticks to fans in the stands, sell game used, autographed, etc.

Dont they hand wood sticks to the fans now? And I thought the reason they sold game uswd sticks was because they were flawed and the player's didnt want to use them?
If they make a goalie version, ill definetly buy one.

Big point shot defencemen better be looking at these. Probably cut down on SHG by like 10%. How many of those account from sticks breaking?

They are not going to be able to compete with the big brands that have been making hockey sticks for decades. If I am him I am trying to make a deal and get a licensing deal with a big brand, or try and set up a bidding war from the big manufacturers.

I wonder about injury increase from slashing. The stick won't break, so will the bone give?
