That Simmer on Gio commercial was painful to watch.

I am starting to agree with Eric Estrada's assessment of Galiardi being just like Comeau. Lots of movement, not a lot of production.

Wutler is an OK contraction of Wideman and butler, but I prefer Butman

At least if they sucked consistently it would be easier to swallow. But after seeing what they could be it makes games like these ones all the more disappointing. They've really stopped caring.

I think it may be more of a confidence issue. Early on they were having some success and getting a few wins, and that tends to fire a team up. As soon as they lost a couple games in a row, that's when they really started to play like hot garbage. It's almost like they step onto the ice thinking they're gonna lose, hence the way they seem to fold like a cheap tent every time they get a lead. Yea, they beat Winnipeg the other night, but that game should have never gone to a shootout, and the Flames knew it. They just happened to get lucky in a skills competition that could have gone either way.
If they can find a way to string two or three wins together, I think they'll gain some serious confidence and get out of this rut that they're in. Of course they're gonna lose more often than not, as they just don't have the talent to be competitive right now. But maybe a couple of wins will get them fired up and playing with the effort and heart that we saw early on in the season.

I always thought the lack of crowd noise had something to do with the 5.1 mixing in the broadcast.
Nope. Turns out the dome is just a morgue.

Either Sportsnet is terrible at miking up the crowd or we need to import the Winnipeg crowd.

-17 out, 3 home games last week, lost 7-3 then blew one to the Oilers, Columbus, Wed night, and another game on a more fan/STH friendly day in two days on Friday...all of those factors contribute.
I was at 3 games last week...Tuesday (SJ, and first game in a week and a half) and Saturday were decent and lively crowds...Thursday's game was dead, that's the game that many gave tickets to friends or didn't attend and that was before it was 5-0.
