Ferland sure has picked it up as of late, wasn't he pointless for a good stretch to start the season?

Any reason behind this turn around?

When Reinhart got called up, he got put on the top line with AHL stand outs Street and Jones. 7 points in three games.

He got bumped back down since Reinharts return but has more confidence now, plus he's still getting more ice time because of Horak being traded away.

Id like to see what we have left in Nemisz, get him up here and see if he can salvage an NHL career with Flames.

Granlunds goal was sweet. The OT winner was a snipe too, and they had to kill off a penalty before getting a PP of their own.

Heat Game Day again tonight!

What could he make it on though?

He doesn't have the offense, nor the toughness.

Is there any particular area that Nemisz excels at?

I don't know, one callup he got he did well on the 3rd line. But thats what the Flames need to figure out by calling him up. See what they have in him, if not nothing then cut ties or realize he'll be a minor leaguer or he can be a 13th forward or something. He's spent enough time in the AHL, time to make a decision on him with more guys from the juniors coming through.

Nemisz = Butler of forwards? Doesn't do anything particularly well?

I don't really see it as that. Butler does things not so well to say the least - especially his passing out of the zone. Butler isn't a 'jack of all trades' guy in my opinion.

Nemisz is a jack of all trades. Plays center or wing, has some decent size, soft hands and pretty good IQ. He just isn't a scorer (any longer it seems) and his speed is not the best (though I think his speed is adequate, but definitely could use improvement).

Nemisz doesn't do anything particularly bad. I don't really think he has much weakness in his game, but he just isn't strong at anything. Butler has some weaknesses in his game, without being strong at anything (other than blocking shots I would say).

Nemisz is going to get a call-up sometime this season I bet. They have to see if they should re-sign him or just to go their separate ways. I thought he looked fine during his call-up 2 years ago, and I hope to see him again. However, I don't think he will ever be one of those impact players, but he could really be a good serviceable 3/4th line guy in the future.

Maybe it's just me but I always saw Nemisz as a poor man's Horak, almost. The whole "jack of all trades, master of none."

MacDonald gets the start in night 2 of back to backs, so Ortio's perfect record remains intact.

edit: 13:30 Slow start for the Heat as expected, MacDonald seems good through the early going

Power play goal!

Hanowski tips a Billins point shot from Jones. Heat up 1-0.

edit: Heat are starting to pick it up now, they smell blood.

That's 16 assists for Billins in 17 games?
And two with the Flames...in two games?
Who is this guy?
