I must be in the minority here but system exclusive games rarely appeal to me, I think I have to go back to the Metal Gear games on PS2 to find exclusives I was really passionate about.
I would be in the same camp as you if I didn't have a PS3 last gen. Microsoft's exclusives appealed to me very little, to the point that I gave up on Xbox entirely half way through last gen. Sony's first party studios, on the other hand, produced most of my favorite games of the last seven years.
Definitely give them a chance on PS4. Infamous is a good place to start, Sucker Punch are an excellent developer and the two PS3 games (especially the second) are really good.

If it is Vancouver or Toronto I wouldn't be too worried they didn't ship those PS4s out until late on Thursday and most still received them on launch day.
Of course, system exclusive games can often end up going port later on as the series develops and the consoles change. Final Fantasy is the biggest example I can think of. It was Nintendo exclusive for some time, then Sony exclusive, and now it's across the board. And didn't GTA start off as Sony exclusive then port to the Xbox?
I haven't really played XBox that much so I can't comment on their exclusives though I know which ones they are. I just haven't played them. For Sony I do appreciate having the God of War franchise. I also love Gran Turismo, though I think it's starting to fall behind some other racing games now. But for a while it was the best of the best. (As long as you like realism and not arcade style)
My Xbox One has shipped out too. Games are still "In Progress". Sounds like I'm going to have to head out to Country Hills Futureshop on Friday and get Ryse and Forza 5. Same thing happened with my PS4 order of Marvel Heroes and Need For Speed.

I'm in Calgary.....and placed my pre-order online with Future Shop on June 17.
I feel so sad right now.
I'm going to go stand in the line of shame at midnight hoping to get one. I have ppl coming over Friday who I have been pumping up for a few weeks now.

Yeah what's up with that? It was the opposite for me last week in that the games shipped first. I got my XB1 shipping notice but no games.
Mine is now in-transit already. My PS4 certainly didn't leave this early, wonder if there is a chance I get it tomorrow.
My expected delivery time is 11/22 and it was marked as in transit at 20:30 Richmond time. Using the PS4 as an example, it took 19.5 hours to get from Richmond to Calgary and get processed. That would put us at 4:00pm tomorrow. From there it took another 9 hours to get processed at the local delivery facility. Based on those times I don't expect we'd get the Xbox One early. We're most likely going to get it on Friday morning.
My Microsoft ordered console remains in Ontario, California. they must be either confident or I'm not getting it on Friday. I'm going with not on Friday.

Yep it appears FS dropped the ball on the game shipments this week. They have store stock on the games but can't ship them out of their warehouse in a timely manner. Oh well I'll just walk into FS on Friday and get my games and then next week when the other ones come in just return them for full credit with the receipt of the full price games.
