Yeah that lost spot will be interesting. 8 teams fighting for 1 spot. Jets and Miami are 5-5. Titans, Ravens, Steelers, Raiders, Browns, and the Chargers are all 4-6.

to me the ref should call unsportsmanlike on Olsen, that was a joke, it was actually rather "canuck like"..

haha Gerry Austin's explanation was amazing. Amazing because it made no sense....either holding or pass interference especially if the flag was actually thrown.

The worst part is they actually threw the flag. I kinda get a no call. I don't get throwing a flag and picking it up.

The one ref threw the flag and less then a second over waived over the other officials. I don't think he really knew either so they had a conference. This is the rule in question:
Rule 8, Section 5, Article 3 Permissible Acts
Article 3 Permissible Acts by both teams while the ball is in the air. Acts that are permissible by a player include, but are not limited to: (c) Contact that would normally be considered pass interference, but the pass is clearly uncatchable by the involved players, except as specified in 8-3-2 and 8-5-4 pertaining to blocking downfield by the offense.

Alright, it's settled. You can go hug receivers in the end zone, take note Leslie Frazier....take note.

It was a really bad call but what was worse was the refs just picking up the flag, saying there was no penalty. Ummm no, there was pretty clearly a penalty. Now if they wanted to go with uncatchable (which unto itself is kind of a terrible rule) then thats one thing, but saying no penalty and just walking off does not look good at all.

i remember watching the world series and after the one game ends on the obstruction call, i watch the press conference at the end and there is Joe Torre and the umpires sitting up there discussing the call and what they saw.. i was impressed by the accountability of MLB, that is something you will NEVER see with the NFL... the league is not accountable at all...

I'm not sure I understand the call. If a WR is on the other side of the field from where the ball is thrown I swear I have seen PI or holding calls before, but because the ball was intercepted infront of Gronkowski it means no PI can be called? I mean I could see if the Pather player hit Gronkowski assuming he was getting the pass, similar to when a ball is tipped but he was holding him before the ball arrived.
Not that I care as an Arizona fan, but I do find it odd. I just don't know what PI is anymore, it's way too subjective.

TMQ says it shouldn't have been PI, but should have been holding - and the result would have been an untimed down from the 13 yard line.

I can't see how it should have been holding, the ball was gone.

That's was I was thinking, it should have been illegal contact on an eligible receiver, and hence one last shot from the 13 yard line. I agree that PI should be negated there. Granted if Keuchly lets him go Gronkowski probably gets away with offensive PI trying to make a play on that ball and catches it.

Rogers says he is pain free, but it's risk evaluation that will determine when he returns.
I broke my left collarbone when I was 15, and after a week I could start throwing a football again without much pain, and petty much threw full out two weeks later. Still body needs to fully heel, so despite the fact that I could attend hockey practice for with no contact three weeks later, and play golf...doctor didn't okay me for full contact until 6 weeks after the injury first occurred. I think Rogers misses at least these next two games just because even a fast healer needs 4 weeks or you risk reinjuring it and a much longer recovery.
